Official American Football Thread

It starts tomorrow! The Glorious Green Bay Packers take a field trip to the west coast and kindly provide a free ass-whupping to the "champs".

EDDIE LACY WANTS TO INTRODUCE YOU TO THE BOTTOM OF HIS CLEATS

The NFC North will be a blast this year. Four great offenses, four mediocre defenses.
(Suh has just been fined $5000)
The division will be a bloodbath, a shootout. Ray Nitcschke and Dick Butkus will be rolling over in their graves, and Butkus isn't even dead.
(Suh has just been fined $25000)
I think Golden Tate will lift Detroit to the next level. I never held the Fail Mary against him, it was replacement refs. And I like Bridgewater. Maybe by season end the Vikes will be the Teddy Throwsevelt and AD show.

DOESN'T MATTER AARON RODGER'S MOUSTACHE WILL SEDUCE YOU
(Roger Goodell has just ordered Suh to fetch the newspaper)

Yes, that will be a fun division to watch. I'm somewhat nervous that my Chiefs aren't going to be as awesome this year-- but its hard to beat a 9 game winning streak to start a season :)

I'm really looking forward to tomorrow nights game!!

Go Bears. I got tickets for the Dec 21 game versus Detroit. For tomorrow I hope Rogers puts up huge numbers (on my Fantasy Team) and they lose

Predictions for the upcoming Super Bowl season:

Matthew Stafford will break Peyton's 2013 record for most passing yards in a season. The Lions still won't make the playoffs.
Chiefs win the AFC west. Broncos get a wild card, and survive deeper into the playoffs than the Chiefs.
RGIII has a roaring comeback year and Redskins win the NFC East, adding more fire to the team name controversy.
Manziel and Bridgewater are both starting by week 8, and both lead their teams one game short of the playoffs.
Drew Brees has an off year and the Saints are not a factor.
New England wins their division but gets swept by the Dolphins.
Super Bowl: Packers over Patriots
No. 1 draft pick in 2015: Titans

Pretty nice predictions there, but I'm doubting the Chiefs will win AFC West, The Broncos are still very good and are still Super Bowl contenders. Infact I think the next Superbowl will be Seahawks and Broncos again.

Go Hawks!

I don't think the Broncos will make it that far this year. Peyton will choke under pressure before the AFC Champ game.

Seahawks will be good this year, dunno if there is a team in the NFC that has a better shot than them, but "thats why they play the game". :)

I think if KC can split with Denver, they'll take the West.

But I don't see the Patriots in the Super Bowl either. Hmm.... watch out for the Colts.

I do not see any obvious choices this year ... a lot of teams have a lot of question marks and most are one key injury away from sucking (namely most any starting QB)

If I have the timeline correct, the video of Ray Rice knocking out his wife finally surfaced today to the public. And the Ravens dropped his ass like a hot rock. Which I applaud.

Dolphins beat the Patriots (I'm still hurt) and that Saints game was the best game I've seen in awhile. Also, did any of you guys check out the Big XII opener between Kansas State and Iowa State? That was good stuff.

If you saw the video you wouldn't say it sucks for him.

He punched her hard in the face, and she smoked her head on the hand rail on the way down.
