The last one was the only real toss-up, though I did consider the Clansman briefly as well. I may be Mother of Mercy's biggest fan.
 
Virtual XI is an awesome album and TFF is the most underwhelming one Maiden have ever released. You guys are nuts.
 
Nah. How can it when it's such a nice array of both fun and gloomy? It's the best of both worlds between classic Maiden and the stuff seen on TXF.
 
All TFF except The Clansman and Justice of the Peace. TMWWBK isn't bad, but it doesn't do much for me. IMO it's the one epic too much on that album, whereas JotP is a short and sweet rocker.

Two of my least favourite Iron Maiden albums. I've never connected with either of them. 6-5 to 'Virtual XI', without b-sides it wins 5-3. I think the highlights on 'The Final Frontier' are better than the highlights on 'Virtual XI' though.
 
I'm doing 7-4 for VXI.

7-4 for TFF
I rank both albums very low but VXI has one or two that are really great (The Clansman is a classic imo) but on TFF most of the songs are average with no real stand-out.
 
Yeah, TFF isn't really that good. It feels tired, like a exhausted rehash of older ideas. Sure, the songs are still mostly good, but it's even more faceless than Dance of Death. The only real new thing here is Satellite 15 and that one's very iffy on its own. Anything else has song ideas that have been used before and better. Oh, and the production sucks.

Virtual XI is just bad, with even worse (how?!) production than TFF.
