I have often considered "Como Estais Amigos" to be one of Maiden's most perfect ever songs. Not the best necessarily, just that within its own scope every detail is perfect. An early example of Janick's true genius .

Well I consider it to be the best song Maiden have ever done (after EOTC) so I will fight you for the presidency.

I would like Como Estais Amigo better if it was completly unplugged a la Journeyman. I love the parts where it’s just Janick and Blaze, but it gets really dull when the whole band comes in.

Anne Bakker is the violinist. They've done a few together now. It was on one of their videos (Futureal I think) that I discovered the worst YouTube troll probably ever (and as you can imagine that's up against some pretty stiff competition ...)

Their versions work well and are interesting but where they really come into their own (imo) is introducing Maiden's music to people who wouldn't normally listen to that sort of thing. Metal isn't for everyone but thanks to Thomas, Blaze and Anne people who prefer a different type of music can now hear and appreciate the quality of Maiden's songwriting.
