I've seen posts about the Vancouver Olympics that sound like what Per wrote about Berlin.
The reality is a lot closer to what LC wrote.
Like any undertaking of that size it had flaws, but overall it was a good thing for the city.

Nah, no interest in trains. The tour wasn't about that.

Yip. Didn't get up on the roof, but got a peek of the old Victorian platforms below the current lowline. I get geeky excited by tunnels; add Glasgow history & the whole experience was a few hours well spent, on my day off.
