Apartment above mine, apartment next to mine and apartment on the 5th floor (I'm on 2nd floor) are all renovating and during most of the day I have to listen to symphony of drills...
 
Yeah, I get treated to that a lot, too. It's awful. I had it for a whole six months last year, and an entire year in 2009. And in the adjacent flat right now.
 
I already gave them names - Adrian, Dave and Janick. There are also two babies in the apartment beneath, I call them Bruce Bruce :D
 
I have a family of swallows. Their nest is right above my bedroom window and they can be incredibly loud at 5:30 in the morning.
 
I've got an Arab family next door that has a wedding every other month.
