It's funny to think back to the air combat games I played in the early 90s (Blue Max, Chuck Yeager's Air Combat), and compare to the last one I played regularly (MS Combat Flight Simulator 3). How do the new ones compare to the latter? Has the development continued at the same speed?

I never played that game. Graphics wise they don't progress as other genres do, but flight models are improving. WW2-era simulators are much simpler because planes had stable aerodynamics and a gun. But Il-2 is really good, if you're into WW2 stuff, you should check it out. I'll never forget when a bandit shot the external wire that controls rudder on my MiG-3. Awesome detail.

I also remember those early-mid '90s games, like the F-15 Strike Eagle, Comanche, etc. It's simple arcade.

Quite different songs, in my opinion. They only share the lengthy acoustic intro. Once that ends, the two songs are very different.

The Legacy does for example not follow a verse-chorus structure at all, whereas The Talisman has a clearly defined chorus. Also, they are lyrically very different. I think two songs need to share more than similar style of intro.

I humbly disagree with the latest sentiment. Lightning Strikes Twice is a decent song, but I find The Legacy the better of the three.

Also, Friday. Only five hours to go before the weekend.

WTF ever, everybody knows that Lightning Strikes Twice smokes BOTH those POS. I mean gads people!

Lightning Strikes Twice was the first Iron Maiden song I heard with Blaze on vocals, so I guess it has a special place in my heart.
But here, Talisman>The Legacy>>>>>Lightning Strikes Twice

I've heard it before, but it's been a while. It's actually pretty damn good.

My only complaint is they didn't do The Duellist instead, I feel they could've done so much with the instrumental part in the middle, but yes, this was surprisingly really good cover.
