exactly what I was thinking
So I was Listing to Iced Earth and White Room came on and that led me to listen to the original version by Cream. I dont know if there would be any fans of Cream on here (some reason I'm thinking SMX might be) but if so what album should I check out for a first?

What happened to Travis?

Edit:  never mind.  I accidentally hit a button that ignored Travis, such that I got a message saying "This user is currently ignored" on all his posts. I thought the mods had done it.  I didn't even know that was an option!

Travis, rest assured this was unintentional and has been corrected.  Pretty sure it only affected what I saw on my screen, anyway.  :)

So I started listening to some Weebl's stuff songs. They're pretty catchy.

Doesn't that bring me back to days of yore, when RW had the tiger from the Kenya song in his avatar?

And yeah, CFH, it only affects your settings.

He has Trevor now!

So I'm thinking about starting to work in security for some events. It's a pretty big deal, they ask for alot and act like they are some sort of army, everything is very serious.
I think I'll stick with my sucky hotel job for now.

Here, the worst security threat is some drunken guy picking a fight.  I would guess security being more serious in Israel is somewhat justified.  At least you'd have the appropriate size for the job.

I've told it before; Israel is -in a way- a very safe country. One has to go there and he realize what I mean.
Some people -who actually live there- say something similar for China: That is -in a way- a very free country. I still to go there, but I believe them.

Yeah, you don't really feel any threats when in the center of the country.
There is a greater possibility of a terror attack but we don't get much of those anymore.

Anyway, it has nothing to do with the job. I'll take one shift tomorrow to see how it is, it's a Linkin Park gig.

I used to love them back when I had no taste in music.

Ah Mega, maybe you'll know this: Now here is Eid: 4 days of holidays & celebration. I checked in internet and it's the celebration of the 'sacrifice' of Ishmael by Abraham. Do you have anything similar (holidays) there? I know that in Judaism is Isaac the guy to be sacrificed...

Also:
Muslim people (from various countries, not only Peninsula) claim something about Ishmael & Israel. Who was the eldest, or something like this. It's about an Old Testament prophecy that the Prophet (?) would born to <insert Ishmael or Israel> descendant. Israel is the son of Isaac if I remember well.
Anyway, they give really big importance to that claim. Are you aware of that debate??

I don't think we have such a holiday here. And by that I mean there may be something, but I don't care enough about the little stuff to know.

And about the other thing, I have no idea. I only remember a bit from what they force us to learn througout school, and I've never heard anything about that.

Well, I simply couldn't make friends with Ubuntu. So I returned to Windows XP, and after years of struggling with Vista, Windows 7 and Ubuntu, I finally feel that I'm back in control.

HAHAHA!  Well, fair enough.  This is what I have done whenever I get my hands on Vista/7  -- turn off all UAC junk.  meh.

Glad you are happy, though.  We (at work) have been trying to buy XP boxes, cause some of our software won't run on 7.

Listening to The Nomad right now. That part that Maiden more or less copied from Beckett: I must say they have used it well, because that part of the song is awesome.
Ahh, I fuckin' missed it.

- Keep that on tape!

I guess it is down to personal taste sometimes. That and the fact that not every PC/Laptop will work with Ubuntu. Personally, I love Ubuntu - the look, the feel, the everything. And now I have got my new laptop working 100% with Ubuntu (i.e. WiFi, headphone jack, etc), I'm happy.

There is some aspects of Win7 that I find quite good - the remote desktop is lightning quick, for example - but I rarely use my Win7 partition.

There's some great things about Ubuntu, such as the software centre. And I fully support the idea behind it. My problem is simply that there are very many little differences that you need to find out about and so on... it's something I would need to take my time to get used to, and I don't have that sort of time right now. Also, it just doesn't feel like an operating system written merely for users, but for people who want to do more with it than just write a thesis or play an odd game. I'll observe future developments, and I'm not ruling out the possibility that I'll return to it one day.
