I got zero problems with Windows 7, but then again I only use it for school (Microsoft office 2007), torrenting, browsing the web and streaming movies and music to my PS3. All the updating is convenient and never gets in my way either. I'm trying to think of anything that bugs me but I cant....I guess if you use it for more then what I do you could find problems with it.
Yeah, the Win7 works pretty well. I'm learning the XP way... seriously, it was just 2 months ago that I found out how to access another ip's drive through the run line: \\192.168.6.33\c$ --yeah, the things you learn when you hang with guys that do that all the time.
Well, the one thing I liked on XP that Win7 dropped is the Net Meeting. Remote assistance works ok, but is difficult across domains, apparently. I am lovin the Win7 box @ work!
Oh ya. There were some viruses for older OS's I believe, but I don't think there have been any for Leopard. I could be wrong though. I have yet to get an app that has spyware or adware though.
Trying to share files between our Mac and Vista machine was a real pain.
Its out there, most of us are lucky enough to not run into it.
I either nearly missed it, or just haven't seen the affects yet-- a guy at work downloaded something and that virus that looks like your 'my computer' page, but with bugs all over it was on his screen. I think I stopped it, cause its been 4 days and nothing weird yet.... Christ, Loosey!! 90 fucking days!? That, my friend, is dedication!
An impressive feat! I wonder how many keyboards LC has been through in that 90 day span, how many mouses, how many HDD's.... Hmm, that'd make a great MasterCard commercial!
