Easy. Paused the audio a few times so it took me 7 and a half minutes, but I recognized most of those within 3 notes at the most.

The toughest one was 2:10-2:20 ... I recognized the band instantly, but it took me around 15 seconds to think of the song.

I've been playing a lot of Sporcle games in the last couple of weeks, actually. This quiz should be easy for everyone here. But this one is much more difficult, especially the second half.

:P

Edit: in case the above is not clear, it means I got them all correct with plenty of time to spare.

Funny that, I recognised the song first and had somewhere in the back of my mind who did it. When I typed the song out, I was quite surprised as to the artist that came up - I thought it was
Hanoi Rocks - it seems I'm more familiar with their cover of it than the original.

Aside from that, I did not do too well. I got a few, but I am never, ever going to get anything by artists like
Kansas, Kiss, Twisted Sister, The Allman Brothers Band, Neil Young, etc.
I just don't know their stuff at all.

You've worked how many years in those kind of jobs* ??
For some years I was working in bars and restaurants - as a barman and a kitchen bitch grill chef. Thankfully, I'm well out of it now. I am now the punter. :D

So what Meat Load album should I listen to?
I understand he is somewhat famous, but I've never even heard of him till I started lurking here.

...His name is Robert Paulson   :D

You should know this tune of his : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9GNhdQRbXhc

Try the album Bat out of Hell, a glamorous rock opera not my style, but arguably his best album

God, that was so sticky.
Wait, can you even say that in english?
Sticky, squishy, disgustingly sweet.

I think that Meat Loaf only makes 'Bat Out Of Hell' albums... I, II, III..... many sequels.  I is the only one you need.

in other news, water tower climbing is for the birds, or monkeys!  I think we figured on about 3600 feet of vertical movement today.

Bat out of Hell has some really, really good moments (the title track for one), but it does fail badly as well. In my opinion.

... and THERE I define my weekend as started.

It will start with flipping hamburgers and downing beers with a friend of mine (and probably listening to Maiden). Never a bad way to start the weekend.
