To make it any bigger they'll have to increase ticket prices which are high enough as it is.

Not as high as Metallica......nearly £100 (inc booking fees) to see them at the O2 last year, as good as they are I still can't understand how they can justify those sort of prices?

The answer is simple: people accept to pay. Their manager gave an interview on the matter, saying that they realized a few years ago that people were ready to pay much higher prices, so he he increased them.

It'd been a long time since Metallica played in the UK too if I remember correctly, so that would've sent demand through the roof.

Only 52nd ? I'm surprised. I know the tour is still far of the end, but this shows that Maiden keep prices reasonable compared to others (although Madrid gig was really expensive).

A member of the official Iron Maiden board, who is well connected in the music business, casts doubt to those figures based on the boxscores that have been released so far.

His message reads as follows:

Totty668 at the Iron Maiden Message Board said:
I've tried to decipher these numbers and they do not make sense at all. Only 7 cities and 8 shows are reported so far, and only 10 headline shows are performed in the first half of 2018, which is what the report is based upon (ending on June 30th). The average turnout for the seven cities reported are 21,206 and the average gross is USD 1,762,832. Even if you include the festivals, Maiden only played 17 cities in the first half of 2018 - report says 19.

Sloppy research from PollStar.

I'm sure Bruce was inspired for the light cross during SOTC on the current tour, from the one from the BNW tour backdrop and cross.... why they do not use it on the RIR concert.

It broke a roadie's hand when they were trying to set it up.

You can hear a loud scream in the original unedited broadcast.
You can also hear some sort of "bang" and then Steve talking to someone very urgently on the official release. It's very quiet though

It's pretty hard to find now, last time I looked there were just a few individual songs up on youtube.

around 0:58 there a voice. There are 4 consecutive bangs at 0:48 on my Rock in Rio CD, followed by the voice. It seems like it was cut from video above.
