They should rotate Revelations and HBTN. One night H plays Revelations and Jan HBTN and vice versa the other nights.

And yes I agree. Jan's solos have been tragic this year. He really shined on TBOS tour. But now, some, especially FTGGOG, are beyond tragic.

A sloppy solo in the worst tradition of some of the solos he played whilst Adrian was not in the band. Let's hope he gets his act together, as his solos were good for the most part in recent years.

I loved Janick's playing 2010-2017. He really seemed to step it up before TFF tour 2010 and continued untill last year. His solos were less of pointless shredding and more melodic. Loved his takes on TBOS, TGU, Phantom, Talisman, Hallowed, Blood Brothers, FOTD...

But this year, he seems more shreddy, which is a bad thing IMO. His solos this year seem a mess, with the exception of Clansman (thankfully), which is one of my top 3 Jan solos.

Well, WED and Aces High tempos seem fine to me.

Wicker Man, FTGGOG and 2MTM on the other hand, are slow as shit.

Not necessarily bad IMO, some songs seem to fit very well (FOI, SOTC, TETMD, Revelations), some songs may be debatable (Aces, Wicker), and some are a different experience which I guess I enjoy (FTGGOG, RTTH, HBTN).

Bruce has more presence, with more colors in his voice partly because he catches up much more easily with this tempo.

Agreed. I kinda like how FTGGOG (and well, Bruce too) has a bit more room to breath now though. The lyrics are pretty powerful and it doesn't hurt to have a bit more weight in them; Bruce's delivery of them has been even better than it was in 06/07.
