Actually I just double checked. It's 48th on my Maiden rankings. I guess it shows the depth of Maiden's catalogue?
 
Evil is a great song but doesn't reach my Iron Maiden top 50. Doesn't that tell anything about the band's quality?
 
Where a song lies on someone's list has nothing to do with the quality of the band. It's an opinion of that person. One persons opinion does not speak for the quality of the band as a whole, if that's what you mean? I think that's what Wizard was getting at.
 
It's hard to define what speaks for the quality of the band as a whole.

When I read Saap's comment I especially think it also tells that he enjoys his top 50 a lot, if the number 50 is a great song.

It has everything to do with the quality of the band. The Evil That Men Do is a very good song, yet it only manages to rank 50th in his list.

Dream of Mirrors ranked 87th in my latest list but I like that song a lot. I'd give it 8/10. Whereas the 87th song of my fifth favorite band, Metallica, only gets a 6/10 from me.
