Iron Maiden News, Links, and Interviews

I noped out of buying Maiden shirts in 2013 when I saw the prices for the Maiden England tour t shirts.

To be honest, I don’t really like wearing Maiden shirts anyway. I’m not embarrassed by my love of the band, but I am embarrassed by the design of some of the shirts!
That's the reason why I design my own Maiden shirts.

Little improvement and back of the shirt.

If band/management felt the need to celebrate the 40'th anniversary of the album and sell a new shirt, they could have done it something like this. I'm sure fans wouldn't feel cheated. It's just that the people who get paid to do it, should at least try a little harder for their paycheck.

New Adrian interview about Infinite Dreams from Berlin this year.
Adrian is just pure class. I like how he said he thinks Nicko was the best player in the band (''it would never be the same, very distinctive style, we love him, he's incredible and he'll always be a part of the band''). He also added that Maiden's choice of band members is always if they know them, and that a personality is also important. They needed new fresh face in 1990, he needed to grow as a musician (mentioned again that he wanted to continue in the style of the 2 previous albums, that he hadn't written stuff, that he thought he would just play a couple of songs during the Reunion, and that he learned a lot from Roy). Steve really wanted him back in the band. He enjoys to tour less months since around 2008.

The most interesting thing from that interview is that the first thing the band played in 1999 rehearsals, and coincidentally as a 6 man lineup (not counting Running Free from 1992) was a rough instrumental version of The Wicker Man, based on Adrian's demo.
