Beer and weed don't mix... ugh. That's one thing to add to my "never again" list...

Happy buzzed posting? 2 nights before xmas, wrapping presents for the kids (nice when they are old enough to be getting books that i would like to read), and a cheap bottle of wine (while the Office plays).
The guy I used to work with (the buddy, not the boss) called me Saturday and was planning a trip to IA City (about an hour and a half away-- i have no idea how much time it is to you on the decimal system 
). Our destination was a local grocery store that handles up to 700 different kinds of beer. A section for German, Belgian, UK, Japanese, and many more, in addition to a grouping of American Micro brews. I picked up a 500ml bottle of Aventinus (8.2%), and something brewed by Spaten, but tastes kinda like Paulaner. In addition, I got a Wisconsin chocolate cherry beer (dessert beer-who woulda guessed?)-- not bad. The Aventinus was pretty good, the label calls it a doppelbock (double bock?)-- I liked that one. At $4 a bottle, still worth the investment. Who needs a 6-pack when one or two of those will do!?
