Coronavirus

These people who are panicking and swarming stores should be taken out behind the chemical shed and shot.
Correct. Those people should also be taken out behind the chemical shed, and shot.
Marching through the local store
Charmin? Great, let’s roll it home!
Ooh, Purel, that sure feels right!
@LooseCannon , what’s that in your hand?

And so we lay
We lay in the same grave
Our chemical shedding day

A few mates in different cities had shared pictures of empty pasta shelves in the shops so I went to my local Tesco to see the current state of affairs in my area. There was plenty of pasta but Pot Noodles and instant mash potato had taken a severe hit. And most of the shitty beer was gone too. Stay classy, Belfast.

Kind of a joke here, that some places were not fancy enough to get Corona Virus .. more like Old Milwaukee Virus areas

The only good thing that will come from this is people and places (at least in the short term) will be more hygenic
I've been thinking the same thing. I reckon the people who are stocking up on soap and hand sanitizer don't normally wash their hands. ::)

I fly a lot .. I always bring wipes with me, the tray tables (especially on quick turnaround domestic flights) can be pretty disgusting.

My college has moved online for the rest of the semester. I don't really have experience with online college so this will be interesting. It's also my last semester before graduating, bizarre way to finish things off. It's a particularly peculiar situation for me as a music student, there's a lot of confusion around the music department as to how to proceed.

Italy's future. Give it about six weeks.

True. But now it's turn of other countries to se the severity of it. As I said before, in the next 3-5 days there will be a huge outbreak of new cases. After that, hopefully it will slowly decline.

The current measures will only show in 10 days or so.

Tom Hanks has coronavirus.

The NBA has suspended their season.

Trump has banned travel to the US unless you're from the UK, probably because he likes people who speak English more.

Jesus.

Universe is doing everything it can to ruin Liverpool's first PL title.

This all feels surreal. Feels like stuff we'll be telling to our children in a few decades.

My city (despite no cases) has started banning large gatherings. Glad I got to see Tool on Monday!

So, the rabid crusade for flour and pasta has happened here in Czechia about a week ago already, before almost any of the surrounding countries had confirmed cases, but that's hardly surprising.
Schools are closed, allegedly for "at least a month" according to the gvmt (I wonder how will that reflect on me, 'cause I'm both an employee of the uni and a student). All gatherings over 100 are banned.
But that's about it. Our president's unofficial "advisor" went to China and back, to "show support", I guess, without testing or quarantine. There was a guy pretending to be an Italian - nobody paid him any attention, just the taxi driver tried to rob him as usual.

This all feels surreal.

My sentiments exactly.

Honestly I would've banned all travel to and from the country for as long as it takes, period. No exceptions. I think this is the first time in awhile I've actually liked something the guy's done. Good on him.

Sadly we live in hard times now. No matter where we are we're in the same situation.

I think that every country should close the borders for time being and let people travel only when this will be necessary. If not, even if some country will get better there will be new infections because of travellers. Sadly only way to stop this madness is to stop travels outside and inside of country as much as possible.

In Poland we have 14 new cases in night, doctors are saying that there's much more but they don't have tests and equipment. More than that, people are stupid enough to run away from hospitals quarantines and travel by public transportation.

I know, it's insane. Look, it's one thing to set your own health to the side because you (mostly) know your body and what it can take and can't take, etc. (just as an example, in January I worked on a foot that had a hairline fracture in one of the smaller bones in there because I didn't think it was that big of a deal + didn't want to go on disability. That's the kinda stuff I'm talking about).

But look at what that dumbass in my state of New Hampshire did. First guy in NH with the virus and he's ordered to quarantine himself, alright. What does the guy do? Go to a fucking business conference in Vermont. Fucking stupid.
