Bruce Dickinson, the frontman of the legendary British heavy metal band Iron Maiden, flew in today to the Sarajevo International Airport to continue the filming of the documentary "Scream For Me Sarajevo".
This documentary, produced by Prime Time from Sarajevo, is conceived about the 20. anniversary of Dickinson's concert in war swept Sarajevo. Filming has begun in December of last year, and has continued today, confirmed Adnan Ćuhara, the director of Prime Time Productions.
During the war, the Iron Maiden leader, despite the warning from UN that they cannot guarantee his safety, came to Sarajevo, and on December 14, 1994 in BKC, for a moment returned the hope and smile on Sarajevo's citizens faces.
The film tells a story how the idea of the rock star's and his band's visit in Sarajevo under siege was born, about the arrival in Sarajevo, his stay in war torn city, the concert itself and the departure of the city. These events are described, from the time distance of 20 years, by the protagonists of the concert, including the band members, drummer Alex Elena and bass player Chris Dale, the UN peace force corps members, British officers Trevor Gibson and Martin Morris, as well as the few "Sarajevers" who, thanks to Dickinson and his band, at least for a short time that night managed to forget the horrors of war and devastation that were a part of their everyday life.
According to Ćuhara, the film will take Dickinson to authentic locations like 20 years ago, like Tunel spasa, BKC, etc
He will stay in BiH capital till Tuesday.
