As you scream into the web of silence...
Christ, that's a whopping. Is it because of fewer voters or...?through some cosmic convergence we've managed to get 8 songs all landing at exactly 7/10.

Nope, just dumb luck. There's a wide variety of total votes and vote spreads in the group, and they all just happened to coalesce around 7/10 for some reason.Christ, that's a whopping. Is it because of fewer voters or...?
I like the pre-chorus, the rest is okay.
Nice guitar work. The verses grow on you and the pre-chorus is decent, but I'm on the fence about the chorus. Great solo. Terrible "eeyow!" at the end.
Yep, there are still 5 songs left on that album.I didn't see Western Shore or several other SOM songs.
Ah…the C-tuned one. This actually started out as a quite normal rocky riff that Adrian had written. But the key it was in was way to high for the melody the vocals were supposed to sing so we tuned it down to infinity and it became this really heavy monster. Another puppy love song about roses and cream cake. Well actually it’s about dying – and finding no light at the end of the tunnel. Out of the blue and into the black. Also a metaphor for birth into the violent world we live in.
The opening riff smacks you across the face like a ton of bricks! Andy is in full Layne Staley mode here. The verses are good, the pre-chorus is better, and the chorus is almost great.
Love the opening bit. Heavy song. Very good.
Yes.So that's 3/8 7.00/10s.
some stuff that Maiden fans would recognise
This one has a strong Allman Brothers feeling [...] but some of the vocals are kinda weak. (Hey, wait a minute, this is "Sheriff Of Huddersfield"! Hmm.)
"Life in the City" [...] is the music used for Huddersfield. They stuck quite close to the original with the exception of removing an instrumental section in the middle
State of Mind I think has some great tracks [like] City of Light
Cool intro. Nice verse, strong pre-choruses, and a pretty good chorus.
It's okay.
I really like Welcome to the Pit.
Great song.
Good song, but not incredible.
The only bad song on the whole album. Very generic and plodding. Also feels like it goes on forever.
It's not bad, but it's really the definition of mediocre in my book.
A lot of people slag on this track, but I really like it. It's like Bruce singing a Psycho Motel song.
[Has] a calmer, atmospheric verse. The chorus is heavier, but unfortunately kind of lame. The first harmonized section is both interesting and awkward, but the second one reprises the intro before going into a pretty good solo.
I like this one.
Disjointed intro. OK verse, great pre-chorus, so-so chorus 1, pretty good chorus 2. Disjointed musical break, but a great solo.
Standout tracks for me [include] Fallen Heroes
"I See Lights" is somewhat catchy.
Now this song is like a tank rolling over its enemies. Not fast, but deadly, going in a constant pace with utmost security. [...] First I thought this would be one of the worst tracks, but it's a grower.
Another awesome song. Slower and even more powerful. Love the snarl this guy gives off.
This one settles into a slower, moodier groove [...] Adrian sneaks in for some sweet co-lead vocals. [...] Good stuff, though it never fully achieves liftoff.
wow, i didnt have many hopes, after i see lights i only expected a mid range metal album...
I'd rate I See Lights as "mediocre"
If i listenened to music just cus of the heaviness I might aswell listen to my dishwasher, Heavy, dull and monotonous, just like "I see lights"...
