I feel that my time at the top will be shortlived as NP & Perun have much more points remaining. Predicting Brazil to win was a mistake. It's really funny that the two people who probably watch the least football on this forum, Saap and Shadow, were leading for most of the tournament.
 
@Night Prowler bummer, things do not look well for Kuipers (Dutch ref).

He is assigned to be the fourth man in the England vs Croatia semi. It's still possible, but:

Biggest chance for the final: probably the Iranian Alireza Faghani, who did very well during his three matches: Germany - Mexico, Serbia - Brazial and France - Argentina (eight final).

Faghani would be the first Asian doing a World Cup final. That counts. The last two WC finals were done by a European.

Also: Faghani his last match was an eight final. Eight years ago Howard Webb did an eight final and then he did he the final as well (don't know how it went four years ago).

I checked the spreadsheet, and Wiz also has France as third (my remaining possible points), so I'm eliminated. Oh well, I had a good run!
 
I hope France wins today and that Croatia wins tomorrow, just to lose to France in the final. Belgium for third place and the English going home empty handed. :cheers:
 
France will beat Belgium. Belgium's only fullback is suspended, so they'll either have to put a center back or a winger to guard Mbappe.
 
France and Belgium have met no less than 73 times: Belgium won 30 times, France 24 times. Belgium won the last game in 2015 with 4-3.

There is no country that won more often from France or more often scored against France (160 times!) than Belgium.

France is for the sixth time in the semi-finals and reached the final twice (in 1998 and 2006). Belgium reached the semi-finals in 1986 and lost from Argentina.

The countries met twice at the World Cup. France won in 1938 (eighth finals) with 3-1 and in 1986 (match for the 3rd/4th place) with 4-2 after extra time.
 
There seem to be two videos at least. In this one, they say "Glory to Ukraine. This victory is for Dinamo (Kiev, maybe) and for Ukraine. Go, go! Go, Croatia!"

In the other video, where Vida is drinking beer, he shouts "Glory to Ukraine! Belgrade, burn!"
