    Starblind

Re: Daily Song: Starblind Give it another ten listens... while also paying attention to the lyrics. Absorb the musical complexity hidden in what seems like simple rhythms. If, after that, you don't rate the song a 10/10 (or higher), well, I dunno what to say. I don't think I've found a song...

What song(s) would you want to be played at your funeral?

Silent Lucidity by Queensryche... or Powerslave by IM - mostly for the humor factor, and partly as a statement to all those who do not live their lives and act in a similar fashion till their time has come - and for similar reasons, possibly Starblind... a few others come to mind. I'd probably...

    On repetitive choruses

I must admit, I too love the CSiT chorus. There's just something about it... possibly because Bruce goes through a pretty wide range (which makes singing along feel like an accomplishment), yet really never pushes us too far to follow along.

Dream Theater officially have a new drummer

I wish you could tell me where I could find some better intelligence... I keep getting told I need to find some. :S That aside, and back to topic, seems like an OK match, though I'll end up missing Portnoy in DT. He's definitely one of my favorite drummers.

    USA Politics

I agree... I have the cigarette first, then a beer, one more cigarette, then two more beers, then some more cigarettes. People definitely need to prioritize! It makes no sense to have just a cigarette with a few beers.  :P

Strange (if humorous) anomaly on the Steve Harris wikipedia page!

Of course, if it was correct, I am counting on you guys to let me know, and maybe provide me a link to someplace that says such, so I don't get raked over the coals for removing it.  ;)

    USA Politics

Well, have any of you read about the very serious dangers of dihydrogen monoxide? It's a massively growing situation in the US... and from what I am reading, it's pretty much the same in EVERY country in the world. Dihydrogen Monoxide (DHMO) is a colorless and odorless chemical compound, also...

    USA Politics

Urban, UNEDUCATED areas in the US have higher AIDS/HIV related issues. Education in the US is not equal. Not even close, and it definitely plays a big factor. There is this city... I wont name it as I do not wish to hurt anyone's feelings, especially the uneducated-but-dont-realize-it or the...

Hello! Proud to be a Maiden Fan and proud to be in such company...

 Yeah... there's either something very very wrong with all of us... or there's something very very wrong with the rest of the world.  I would like to think hope pretend know we're the sane ones.

What's the best proof to show that Iron Maiden is NOT satanic

You can try some of the suggestions that have been made, but honestly, I think you will lose this one. Especially if you live in some uber-religious location, like the US Bible Belt. And here's why... there are too many songs that talk about the institution of religion (and it's evils), as well...

    Your First Maiden Gig ?

Please, oh please do not ban me for saying this... I've been an Iron Maiden fan since 1986 (how I became one is an interesting story in itself). Yet, the first Iron Maiden concert I went to was in 2006. I went twice (that's an interesting story too, I guess): October 7, 2006 Camden, New...

Hello! Proud to be a Maiden Fan and proud to be in such company...

I'll get to that - though I still gotta throw them a few bones for the albums. They're cool enough with the fans to let us share their music - even on places like YouTube, so I'll return the favor and pick 'em up in the upcoming week. Funny note on that... a big EMI rep was talking Maiden a few...

A cappella Maiden - no really...

So... I was surfing around, looking for some instrumental Iron Maiden stuff on YouTube (found some pretty amazing stuff, including the Electric version of Journeyman), and I ran into an a cappella band performing Iron Maiden's "Fear of the Dark" - which scared me when I first saw it in the...

Hello! Proud to be a Maiden Fan and proud to be in such company...

Ah yes... yes there is. I must admit, my only exposure to the Blaze era was "Sign of the Cross" from "Rock in Rio" with Bruce singing it.  :S

Am I mad or does Nicko just get better and better?

Well, in my case, I'd say #2 is a given... as for #1, I'd prefer not to admit that it is very distinctly, highly possible.
