RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2026

When asked about big gigs, Adrian says that his monitors weren't workin for the whole Twickenham show so he struggled but people told him it was fantastic.

I was at that show. I didn't notice any issues with Adrian's playing.

However, it wasn't a good sounding gig in my opinion. Where I was (in the seats, out to the Adrian/Dave side) one of the speakers was cutting out intermittently. Shame, because it was an absolutely sensational setlist.

Shows how good he is, probably. He says he struggled but the punters didn't notice, love it.

Yah, I've not heard good reports from people who've sat at stadium gigs, speaker faults not withstanding.

Steve so excited to chat to Blaze he pissed his pants.
-So when Bruce quits again you coming in for 120 minute Virtual XII Factor concept album right?
-Yeah man for sure

Number of the Beast playing over the halftime highlight recap of the Norway England game on UK tv. Wonder if the lads knew that would happen or if it was a cheeky wee surprise for em all backstage.

I can hear the jokes now "silver lining, if we lose we still get paid whoo hoo"

On the bus back from Eddfest. It was an incredible day. The support bands all rocked and the arena had loads of cool stuff and memorabilia. And to all the unbelievers here who said they would sell no tickets, the place was packed from the front to the back.

Maiden were on form throughout and played like legends. On a downside, Bruce was ill and his voice wasn't great in places. He got the crowd to sing along for much of the hard parts. I'm curious to see how they handle that on the dvd.

Doesn't matter though as I finally got to see them play Infinite Dreams and that alone was worth the journey.

I think they recorded amsterdan too.and confirmed by the band.
On the othet hand glad to see that anothet important gig was packed

Bruce was indeed fucked and was admitting it to the crowd lol. Aside from Aces he handled the encore well, so it wouldn't surprise me if they just dubbed in some Amsterdam vocals in parts or something for that song.

And yes, absolutely packed show and a great crowd!

Packed out as others have mentioned, Eddfest itself, all the theming etc. was fantastic, a great performance from the band. Bruce sounded good, really good in fact, to me for the first half but was suffering in the second but he opted to pull his punches and drop the vocal lines lower rather than strain for the most part. I noticed him turning round at the end of Murders in the Rue Morgue and mime something to Simon or the crew whilst pointing at his throat so it was obviously bothering him from the start.

Transport links to and from Stevenage and getting in and out of the festival site was a mess though, and I did not relish what ended up.being a 5 mile trek back to my hotel after being out in the sun drinking all day!

We got out fairly quick. The coaches got us back to the hotel within an hour.

The place was absolutely packed, I think the singer of Airbourne said 50k people?

The band sounded great, the highlights were Infinite Dreams, Rime, 7th Son and Phantom for me.

The sound was a little patchy but that is a big field gig for you

I thought Rime sounded great in the lower register, no vocal straining. Bruce did that in a couple of other songs as well, glad to see he wasn’t being stubborn if he was feeling ill

Trying to get to the venue was a ballache. Lots of traffic and no apparent sign posts for parking. We only found the parking because we were back the way came, the sign post for it was only on one side of the road…

made a super swift exit post wasted years and managed to get back home by the second hydration break
