Your Maiden blasphemy

That's fine, but I don't get how you can't see raw emotion in their playing.

I agree with Mosh, The Crimson Sunset part of A Change of Seasons is IMO musics most beautiful moment, closely followed by pretty much the whole of I&W :p. I also find their later epics very emotional. Songs like Scarred show a more angry side and JLB's voice is amazing in that one.

But of course, everyone has different tastes. I've never seen them live, so I can't comment on that aspect :)

That's funny because when I was writing that post Crimson Sunrise was the song I was thinking of. Also on the Iron Maiden tour, they went with the heavier songs so that emotional side of them wasn't shown. But it is there.

I think Live After Death is a ok live album. A decent album. Quite good, almost good. Far from being fantastic...

Brave New World isn't that great, there I've said it, now I'm off to hide from LC :innocent:

:ok: :ok: :ok:

Come join me in my shelter, where we play Dance of Death 24 times a day and praise "Gates of Tomorrow" and "Wildest Dreams."

It's absolutely my least favorite of the post 2000 albums but still enjoyable.

Yeah, I'd agree with that. Some of my fav songs, including Dream of Mirrors and Thin Line, but some real stinkers on there. IMHO.

Its too early to tell because ive only started listening to the album recently but

The Chemical Wedding is a more consistent, spectular, heavy and powerful album than anything maiden have done. This view could soon change though. I bet Bruce was absolutely gutted that his solo career didnt exactly work.

Half of Bruces solo work is too heavy for my taste, some of the other half I enjoy very much, some are alrite. Far far behind Maiden level :)
But that's not what I was going to say in first place, I wanted to say that I'll give some more of my attention to Chemical Wedding.

My blasphemy is that I don't like Jerusalem, but Book of Thel is godly.

I gave 4 songs on Dance of Death a 10, is it me or was that album fucking amazing?

It's not really a blasphemy, it's a different opinion. Are those songs PFD, Dance of Death, Rainmaker and No More Lies ? I give 10 for two out of these four songs and 9 to the other two. (5 numbers in one sentence ?)

Also, how can you don't like Jerusalem, Mosh ? It's really a blasphemy  Well, opinions are selfmade.

I just haven't come to like it yet. For penance, I will listen to it 3 times tomorrow and see if I get anything out of it.

:ok: Which 4? Here in the DoD Shelter we're big fans of DoD, Montsegur, Gates of Tomorrow, Wildest Dreams, Passchendale... actually, all of them apart from No More Lies...

No More Lies, Dance of Death, Paschendale, Journeyman. All amazing.
Take out NML for Face in the Sand or Rainmaker and I agree.
