Bought a Cort G300 GLAM, after regretting selling my two G300 Pro a couple of years ago.

Never ending circle of regret.

Understandable, also is that you cat on your profile pick, mine looks near identical to it, hes a rescue so we don't know the breed 100%,, but hes defiantly got maincoon in him somewhere. HES HUGE.

Yes, though sadly he passed two years ago at 14 years of age. We then proceeded to adopt a very similarly looking kitten (didn't grow up to be as big as Herman), but I'm never changing this profile pic.

Ah yeah, we always thought Herman had a bit maincoon in him as well, because he was pretty d*mn big. Cats are the best. Congratulations on adopting a lovely cat.

He acts more like a dog than a cat, he thinks he is small, and he is very very vocal. In other words everything my annoying ass, tiny (but still good) pug.

Ended up with a black DiMarzio Tone Zone in the bridge position of the Les Paul pictured earlier. Thought that if I was going to mod it, why bother keeping the look - it should look like the hot rodded monster it is. The thing screams now. Very happy with my choice.

Put a JB in my other Les Paul. Works well, but I have played that pickup since I started so there is definitely no "wow" factor to be found anywhere.

Try it with a Jazz in the neck position, and you'll go "wow, why the fuck is this a popular pairing? They don't gel at all".

But perhaps not the "wow" you'd want.
I'm happy the guy I bought the Cort Glam from has replaced them with a Tonerider Birmingham set - though sadly with chrome covers, which doesn't look good with the color on this guitar. I'm thinking of putting in a couple of EMG 70's I have in a drawer, just have to get an EMG 3-way switch. Only hesitant because the parallell splits sound really good in positions 2 and 4.

I like the Tonezone. Got one in my Ibanez RG. It rips.

A friend of mine started winding pickups. I have this 2024 Candy Apple Red Fender Player Strat that I bought for my 30th birthday and I wasn't too crazy about the pickups and wanted a custom traditional Strat set, so he made me one. I wanted a Fender fat 50's style neck pickup and a very overwound bridge pickup, because I'm not too crazy about the thin sounding traditional bridge pickups. For the middle one, I said to him he can do whatever, since I rarely use the middle pickup on it's own. That bridge pickup has some Telecaster qualities and is very useful. The neck pickup is the best Strat neck pickup I have ever played in my life. He smashed it. He soon made one for himself afterwards. We did some tests later and found out that it works the best with maple fretboards. It's now my favourite guitar to play at home (with my band, I still mostly use my 2011 Les Paul Traditionals (I have 2 that were made 1 day apart) and customised AS Jackson SDX (DiMarzio and Duncan pickups, Schaller Floyd)). I also did some other things to this Strat that improved it massively. Gotoh 510 Tremolo is a revelation. If set up properly and with locking tuners it's as stable as a Floyd. Another thing that is incredible is a high-pass tone cap on the volume control. It cleans up the guitar amazingly.
