According to my rules of fandom, I am required to cheer for Northern Ireland (Commonwealth country trumps WW2 ally).
 
Excellent match! But given how well they played and that they were robbed from a penalty, it should be like 3:0. I'm still not sure how much our defence can endure - it might be crucial with Germany.

It's the first time in 42 years that Poland wins the first match of a tournament.
 
Northern Ireland looked like the worst team of the competition so far. They still managed to get more scoring opportunities than we did though.
 
Deserved win for Cro, I am rooting inside myself for my country but there's a lot of political issues around that currently. Let's see how 'Brazil of the balkans' plays against Spain before any big words are spoken.
Also very rough play from Turks. Elbows to the face, not cool. If you want to play handball then come get your ass kicked properly. This is the beautiful game, leave broken heads out of it.

Let's not act like the Croatian team didn't do anything harsh, the first 20 minutes of the game was constantly interrupted with Croats fouling the Turks. They were very physical.

Cenk Tosun was confusingly angry the whole game and Volkan Şen is always a dirty player. Aside from those two, I didn't see much rough play.

I don't care about the competition, but I would miss England.

Seriously, though - I don't think it's fair to punish the players or the coach for the behaviour of a few apes.

Time for Germany-Ukraine, really curious how's their form. Our match with Germany on Thursday is going to be a big event...

I have to watch it on German channel, because my provider is greedy and demands extra fee (broadcasts only some matches without it) even though I already have a couple of their sport channels...
 
Hehe, my father-in-law has the same problem. Pays for many sports channels and is now watching with his other son-in-law, who bought all the matches.
