Just saw some terrible footage of these riots. In but also outside the stadium. One tall guy kicking someone's head while the victim laid on the grounding (already not moving). And of some Englishman getting heart treatment on the street.
They're very close in FIFA rankings. I would lean more towards Poland, but I think it shall be a close game. Maybe 2:1 for Poland, but it could easily be the other way.
Poland is a way better team on paper. But "paper" doesn't tell the whole story for Northern Ireland, they wouldn't be in the tournament if it were up to paper.
Man, it's always so exciting and nerve-wracking when our team plays in a tournament... I love it. Even though we usually lose pretty bad overall, the hype here is always huge.
The result is a mystery. If not the two recent friendly matches I'd say Poland should win easily (maybe even 2:0 situation). Now I'm not so sure. If we lose this one, I will have very little hope for any further success. A draw will be highly unsatisfactory because Northern Ireland seems to be the easiest opponent in the group.
Look what the Turkish midfielder was doing when the ball was approaching Luka Modric, who then volleyed the ball to score the only goal. We might lose, but we gotta keep our style while we do so!
Next game is tricky to call, NI surprised everyone in qualification but Poland have some class acts. Spirit vs class here. My coin is on Poland, Lewandowski to score anytime.
Tense faces on the Polish players. There are lots of expectations, so I can imagine pressure to finally perform well on the European Championship.
They shouldn't underestimate North Ireland. They did very well as well in the qualification.
