I do think Iceland has a lot to blame on themselves for this outcome. Romania and Albania defended very well against France and only lost due to last minute goals. I think they got too confident for their own good, should've parked the bus. Again, though, can't really hold it against them. They were not supposed to be here.

This also showcases just how shit England were.

Probably, yeah. They got a bit carried away with the hype. But who can blame them? As you say, nobody - themselves included - expected them to get this far.

France was one bridge too far but Iceland deserved to be in the quarter finals (it wasn't overachievement; they were supposed to be here).
