Adrians LOL solo seems like it belongs in a rejected song off of The Chemical Wedding. I love this song, but I remember the first time I heard this solo I thought "this doesnt sound right".. And remember this coming from a die-hard H fanboy..........I'll admit when things arent up to par. Voted for BNW.
 
Round 2 has ended. Some time is needed to make 16 new battles for round 3 for which 32 solos are left. Meanwhile, we can look at the solos that are gone.

For the first time, not all albums are represented anymore. Seventh Son of a Seventh Son, No Prayer for the Dying & The X-Factor have no active solos anymore. All guitarists since the debut album still have at least one solo in the game.

If I could catch the round, my vote would've gone to Lord of Light quite easily. Shame it got eliminated. One of the most creative solos in Maiden's catalogue.

I think I agree, I wouldn't be solo analyst (which is why this game has been a revelation to me, cheers @Forostar ) but I think the solos fit the albums. I would put 7th Son above SiT in my overall album rankings and I think the solos suit both albums well but theres something about SiT thats leads to better solos.

For me, SiT solos are less iconic that 7th Son but when it comes to the duel format of this game, SiT just stands out.
 
Several of these eliminated solos deserved to go further, but most of the best solos are still alive, so I can't complain too much! :p

I wouldnt go as far as to say the songs on SIT are inferior, much less "far inferior"!! Thats a stretch, and its making you sound like a bratty SSOASS fanboy lol..... SSOASS is just a different, more grandiose album. Its like night and day in its structure, sonic and lyrical style compared to SiT and the subject matter makes it sound more intelligent. I love the album, its my 3rd fave behind SIT and Killers.
