I'll end my thoughts on the matter by stating that I'm unhappy with the decision to censor a voter, but I fully respect the host's right to moderate his game as he believes necessary.

I'm voting for 045, because I enjoy it more than the other option.

Sometimes I didn't even sure who's playing the solos. I just listen to it and give my opinion.

Alexander is my choice now, and it sounds like Dave.

*My biggest deception in this game was Phantom Of The Opera solo be eliminated.

(NOTE: If this game is new for you, and if you would like to participate, please check the opening post of this thread, before you vote)

Result of round 2, 29th battle: Dave Murray's Hallowed Be Thy Name solo (015) is eliminated. 045 advances to the 3rd round.

Round 2: 30th battle:

Dave's ATG solo was one of my predictions to be in the final four by the end of this game. Easy choice here. Dave's best solo EVER and possibly the best Maiden solo too? We shall see!

Alexander the Great is 1b to Powerslave's 1a in Dave's solo catalogue.

Edit: Looks like the round was already over, not that it matters.

I vote TCDR too, but I didn't find the choice easy. I love the guitar solos on Piece of Mind in general. But to me, Adrian's solo on TCDR is one of the best moments on the entire AMOLAD album, and one of his best soli in the post-Blaze years. Can't really put my finger on one thing about it, but it just feels ... right.

Looking at the voting development (13-2, and I hadn't even voted myself yet), and the amount of voters we've had in the last week, I thought the chances on a come back were very minimal.

Current battle:

Two atypical solos from Adrian.

In particular, I appreciate those short notes, resulting in stops, in Adrian's These Colours That Run solo.

But I prefer the Still Life solo. There's this unusual laid back feeling in it. As if he was in an absolute comfort zone, he gives a top performance. It's like Adrian is really playing (it even sounds a bit like improvising) with the opportunities he has. Lots of ease is shining from this solo. He does many different things. He starts with a swinging first quarter with lots of feel. The second quarter has a short start, a mini pause, followed by a fast run. In the third quarter he bends nicely and high, goes fast again and then he descends beautifully to the end.
