Was just about to post this, so unless they announce more shows after their Download set (as they did in 2013) then that's our lot for this year.

I would imagine a full arena tour will be on the cards for 2017, I hope so anyway!
 
Really happy that their playing Download next year, that's a day ticket I will be buying at least or say if Sabbath are announced tomorrow / Wednesday, it'll be a weekend ticket :)

I really can't see this being the only UK appearance though, they're bound to announce some more UK dates during the live performance just like they did during Download '13 for either late next year or failing that, 2017.

I think I suggested this would happen the other day.... A tried and tested formula that dates back to their first appearance at Donington in 88. They will be back on this tour. Maybe 2016, maybe 2017. Whatever, it's great news. SCREAM FOR ME DONINGTON!

We're talking another year & half minimum before they're likely to be doing any kind of UK arena tour; assuming that's even happening. Nicko could be fucking dead by then. At least the US and Canada get to see Maiden in proper indoor shows.

Just waiting for them to announce Roskilde Festival in Denmark now. Still some chance for an indoor show in Norway perhaps (because I don't think they have any big festivals :p)

It varies. I've seen Maiden four times in Norway - two indoors (and one of those was in November) and two outdoors. Oslo and Bergen both have one large outdoor venue (Valle Hovin and Koengen, respectively) and Maiden have played both. Valle Hovin is 35,000 or so, they played there on the SBIT tour. On later tours, they've played Telenor Arena (indoor venue, capacity 15,000-20,000 depending on stage layout etc.). I don't know if their management expect to sell out Valle Hovin. If not, it will be Telenor Arena (and then maybe also Koengen).
 
Are you kidding me? Both Brazil and Australia get FIVE TIMES the amount of shows that the UK, Maiden's country of origin, gets?

Beyond ridiculous, those tickets are going to sell out so fast.

It stinks that there are no other UK shows this year, but...

We know they had planned North America to take place THIS year, likely with the UK to follow - similar to TFF in 2010.

They had probably already contracted with Download to play an "Exclusive" headline show this year.

This might be completely out of their control- maybe they'd love to do a full UK arena tour but simply can't due to the timing and contractual obligations.

...just saying.
 
I had planned to fly to England if they didn't do an arena gig in France but we all have the same problem. I'm gutted: I was hoping for a Bercy gig.
