The fact they will likely rehearse in Split (they love it) and it just makes sense with logistics. I could be wrong, tho. Bruce finishing in Istanbul in mid-July just enhances the probability.
But of course, there are cons to this theory. Mainly the fact that Dalmatia and Split are in peak tourist season in early August.
I'd like to add that if they do it, it will be like western Canada last year. 3-5 dates on the Balkan peninsula.
That's true, but that is like 14 days. If they really intend to rehearse in Split, playing 2 or 3 shows in the Balkans would cover the costs of shipping. Same as they did with Power Trip warm-up shows (although the payment of PT was massive). It does not make any logistical sense, as they will still need to ship everything to Australia (and would not be able to play any gigs while the gear is inside the containers).
Because they did.I wonder, why many of You assume Maiden boys received biiig payment for playing PT. I think opposite, they played there, because they love to perform and love music. And... PT had the best crowd of the whole tour. How cool is that.
Of course they got a big payday for Powertrip. They weren't playing in NA this year until they were offered that gig. They then scheduled the 3 Canada shows to justify bringing their whole production over and for warmup purposes. It was a chance to play to the biggest crowd in the US maybe ever.I wonder, why many of You assume Maiden boys received biiig payment for playing PT. Moaning??? These people are delusional to say the least. Impressive as hell for his age!I don't know what all the moaning about the football footage is about. If I was pushing 70 and still burying free kicks, fucking sure I'd be putting it in videos.
Yeah, this tour could definitely be plane worthey. Certainly frees them up in terms of having more play with adding new datesThat's true, but that is like 14 days. Unless they rehearse with the B rig, but I really doubt that, since 2011 was the last time they did it.
Sea container takes around 18 days to be shipped. However, this tour not being props-heavy, I think they might chart a cargo plane.
Would be cool to see Ed Force One again for a bit, even if Bruce wouldn't be piloting.Yeah, this tour could definitely be plane worthey. Certainly frees them up in terms of having more play with adding new dates
Okay, you got me. Not used to seeing dripping sarcasm from anyone other than GhostI tried to be in @GhostofCain humour mode with that post and thought I failed miserably, but then maestro laughed. I am saved. For now.
As much as I would love to see them again this summer, even with this scenario I can't see it happen. That's true, but that is like 14 days. The thing is they love rehearsing in Split and this likely won't change soon.As much as I would love to see them again this summer, even with this scenario I can't see it happen.
If they do use B rig for rehearsal, I doubt they would use it for live shows.
If they plan to use their A rig, I don't see the point of rehearsing a couple of dates in Europe, only to take two week break right after (unless they scale the stage down and do again that plane tour which would allow them to make a couple more Asia dates).
But, stranger things have happened.
London Night 2 and Barcelona. Now that the 2023 leg finished, which day had the best Bruce performance?
When Maiden retire, there are no bands of their scale that I want to see anymore. Maybe Pearl Jam if they ever come back to do arenas in the UK. I’m still going to support small bands and gigs. I imagine the last time I go to the O2 is when I see Maiden for the last time. Either that or when my daughter asks me to see a band there. What may happen with big arena and stadium tours in the future? Will tickets eventually become unaffordable for the majority of folks or will people continue to find some way to purchase tickets? Will Ticketmaster have to start setting up folks on payments? Credit checks to buy tickets? Lol. Bands may have to drastically scale down their production in order to make cut touring costs. Eventually the golden goose dies, right?
