The Future Past Tour 2024

The source is the same one of this playlist...

Its a bootleg with IEM audience + soundboard (idk how japanese people do this) and i still didnt find a place where i can download this...I only found this page where they sell those bootlegs.

Plus: The site has some other bootlegs that are not public and claim to have excellent sound:

A few songs from those bootlegs can be played here: https://www.youtube.com/@MetalJourneyman/videos
Shame that there are no previews on that site. Would love to know the quality for some of the 99 and AMOLAD stuff. The 1983 bootleg that got its own thread sounds excellent and it would be amazing to get bootlegs that sound half as good for the remaining few tours without definitive recordings.

Clip-in extensions? I find them a bit icky, but that would really be a completely new merch, beer, wine, etc. etc. so many bands have that, but the ‘Dave Murray wig’ ‘Dave Murray extensions’, Maiden would be ahead of the game! ;)

Does anyone know if this lighting rig was a recreation of one used in the 80’s? I could’ve sworn that it was but in watching live footage from ‘86 and ‘87 it seems like the lighting rig was completely different. Maybe this was a new creation?IMG_6273.png

It was completely different.

Nevertheless, I wish I had seen this tour once more.
It made sense for them to go to AUS and Americas and there was little to no chance to make it a 3-year tour and bring it back to Europe, and there is still a possibility of a live release from the tour, still... Although seeing them on opening night, the whole time since it started I had this FOMO (fear of mission out) feeling about the tour that didn't leave to this day.

Yeah me too. I saw them 2 times in London, but I love SIT so much. I should have bought tickets for another show too

I think Rob said that it was his representation of Blade Runner theme with modern technology (LEDs, moving head lights). I see some inspiration from the original Blade Runner and the Blade Runner 2049 too.

I guess this is a great testament to Rob’s design that I thought I had somehow seen it before but in fact it was a new creation. He nailed it!

The Somewhere on Tour 86/87 was not properly documented and the Future Past Tour was supposed to rectify that and as of today it's still not properly documented, at least to the general public. It was said there might be a live album/dvd but we are still waiting. Has that been squashed?
I'd like to see a brand new live album or B-Ray/DVD, but I doubt they'll decide to release those ones. There's no gain in products like that anymore; the costs have been scaled to the stratosphere, and the prices of physical releases continue to rise. So same we can say about the studio albums, but with some brand new tracks and a promotional tour - that is an original reason to release new music. I think IM aren't about recording new stuff, maybe Senjutsu made them aware there's no potential to write some exciting music... I think they're focused on live shows, special tours 'til the end of their activity, and probably it's the best choice for now.

I understand your point but other bands do it. Hopefully they are keeping it all til when they can no longer tour, will the opportunity be too late then?

Some say that it wont be any live release of future past 23/24 bc of nicko's performance. But i think it would be fine if they select any of the last shows from 2024. Nicko was playing better at this period (knowing his limitations).
