Trooper
Any decrease in quality of Bruce's voice is so minimal compared to many other legacy (members aged 60+ in my books) acts, I just don't think that is an argument worth bothering with. If it got really bad, I would like to think maybe they would just go down to Eb tuning? That's not a massive jump down and would sound close enough to original I think to still sound good (maybe even sound a bit bigger and heavier live - just the same as how Adrian playing in Drop D created another layer of heaviness to older tracks). No, it really doesn't. They have also said they will not allow themselves to become a parody, or have their performances suffer. They are old, and the performances have dipped a bit in quality (drums and vocals). They have, although Bruce still holds up. We have a few years left, at most.
I feel that Maiden as a whole can continue for quite some time. The level at which all of them (except Nicko) are still performing is at a massively higher level than almost any other band of their age (for hard rock/heavy metal anyway).
I could definitely see them doing smaller tours, bigger shows - as the travel aspect gets more tiresome the older they get, sure they might change from 1x 3-4 month tour to maybe 2x separate 2 month tours per year with a break.. But I'm sure they'll keep going for a good 5+ years at least.
Have some faith!
