The Future Past Tour 2024

I hope they release a live album or (maybe) DVD/BR from the TFP tour. As I understood Dave, 2025 will be very special and different in terms of spectacle and visual conception.
I think they will if Nicko feels comfortable with his performances.

IMO, they should at least release the Senjutsu and SIT tracks plus maybe The Prisoner. We don't really need another Trooper, IM and Fear Of The Dark.

Dave with a few words about the tour:

I expect such short videos with every band member like in 2017. The footage in it is probably from the upcoming live release. Is it from Argentina? They also used Mexico footage in such videos.

He praised the special crowds that give them energy (''an amazing year for Maiden and touring'') and said it was one of his most enjoyable tours. He then added that he enjoys every tour and that 2025 will be amazing, completely different and spectacular.
I’ve never heard Dave talk so much!

I'd be content with the best of the bunch of the main focus songs, so a six-track release of just Senjutsu/SiT would do fine. SIASL's been released in unlistenable form on YouTube so that's taken care of, HCW has much better versions available, but CSiT and ATG haven't ever been released (obviously) and WY from the last show especially was full of emotion. Meanwhile, TWOTW is the lead single of Senjutsu so that's one obvious pick, Hell on Earth is an absolute highlight and TFP is the tour's title track.

Done and done. Most of those should be pretty solid performance-wise too, which I definitely can't say for Time Machine for example.

If this tour is not a must for a live (and video this time! Alexander!) release (not just because of Nicko and the lack of a live release from the 1986 tour - plus especially after the lack of a concert videos from the previous tour), then idk what to say. I doubt Nicko will feel comfortable with his performances overall, but he finished the tour right. And he played better this year. Maybe he will decide eventually, but he knows fans want a live release more than ever now. We also know that the Wacken performances were solid too. If not for 1 full show, as it should be (EP???; the last show is perfect, even if not the best), then choose the nights that he played faster and best given the circumstances, we know he gave it his all. The tricky songs are Trooper, Fear, Time Machine. Maybe Heaven. There are solid and strong performances this year and not just a few.
Dave seems very happy there. No doubt it will do nothing to stop all the idiots saying he's about to retire at any minute!

This x2. :)

I agree 100%.

I'd release an audio CD with 9-10 tracks from various concerts. Poorly edited live performances videos on YouTube (don't expect much effort there) Something along the lines of this.

1. Caught Somewhere In Time
2. Stranger In A Strange Land
3. The Writing On The Wall
4. Days Of Future Past
5. The Prisoner
6. Death Of The Celts
7. Alexander The Great
8. Hell On Earth
9. Wasted Years (Chile, night 2)

That would be enough IMO. Maybe Senjutsu and Stratego from 2022 as bonus tracks.

IMO at this point in time Maiden should do like Metallica did, and they themselves did following Grateful Dead's example, and release soundboard downloads for every gig. Offer them at a discount if you attended the gig. Do it like Metallica did, offer anything from like SBIT onwards, and a selection of notable gigs from past tours, first times at a given country, important festival dates, etc.

That would mean that Harris would have to admit there's better dates than what we hear in Live After Death, Maiden England, etc. He's a lot like Jimmy Page in that regard (and thankfully only in this regard).

Dave with a few words about the tour:

Have you noticed that brief live audio right at the end of the video? I wonder whether it's a video editing error or something inserted 'on purpose'.

Is he saying a short break? It's not that short. Or does he mean until the recordings for the new album start?
Is there already wild speculation in other forums or groups?
I have an idea: We'll ask Juras, who was able to predict that Maiden will play in Wacken 2025 by closely monitoring the events in Wacken 2024, although this is currently still being hidden under the pseudonym “Guns N' Roses”. :D

He said a big break. That may or may not include recording a new album.

Would you say that's just a coincidence? I know that at least Bruce (solo) has a publicist, so he doesn't simply not care what comes across. It's not right to assume that.
But I don't know about Steve. Could it be that there was a concious attempt to counter this idea that Iron Maiden will soon be finished?
First this positive interview with Steve, then the video with Dave, who is the one where there were always these rumours.

I think it's time for such a special bonus. Something new for the band. And they have the footage, they even used some of it for a LOTB game clip (no sound though). I mean, SJ album was spread over 2 tours, 3 legs. A unique example.

Editing error and it didn't sound like an official recording.

Some here thought it might have had something to do with Nicko's decision, others that it was just Steve's self-deprecating humorous way of talking about “the old age” of the band members before. I don't know, but it is indeed striking how different his last interview came across.
