If I recall, though, the announcement was just dropped, like, "hey, while we're all in the pandemic, here's a live album we put together," sort of thing. It wasn't really anything that was teased. Like I said earlier in the thread, I think live albums for every tour is a given. It's weirder when they don't put out a live album for a tour, i.e. the Donington 2007 album and the Early Days live album.

and since covid messed up the schedules, they could do a 2nd leg of future past tour with songs of the new album. like they did on 2nd leg of legacy of the beast tour.

Rod said he's looking forward to as many future tours as possible, and that means a new album is imminent. Especially with a 50th anniv coming up. They will want to celebrate it with something, right. Another thing - I think the whole point of the current tour (basically combining 2 tours) is also to skip the next Hits tour (if it was in the plans anyway) and jump right into a new album tour again (with maybe more deep cuts in the set like now). They are catching up now. And even if they do a Hits tour in let's say 2025/2025-2026, the next thing is a new album that should be recorded in 2026 at the latest. Unless they want to do a 90's era tour, or a Reunion era tour, or a whole Deep cuts set tour, but those options are not that likely compared to a new album, despite Steve's comment that they will focus on touring. Maybe their plans have changed.

Yes after power trip festival they will go to the studio again,then finish the future past tour in 2024 ins south america usa and maybe other places and then 2025 the new album will be out. I can see bruce album postponed or maybe recorded but not touring. If maiden has important plans the other plans are canceled i think. This band has 3 to 5 years more of life.i really hope that. And as i miss this tour in europe ill try to go to somewhere in 2024 if there is a tour. Cant see the scenario of not going to South america with this tour.would be crazy to do that.
 
It's a fucked up little tease. The boy Dickinson certainly seems to be hinting at something big. Something more than announcing another leg of the tour or a love album.

But then it would be damn odd if they didn't take this tour round about the world. What sticks in my head is Bruce saying "the first 30 something shows of this tour." He didn't say 'first leg.' Saying 'first leg' would imply a second leg. So maybe there won't be a second leg next year and we get new album shenanigans.

Pffff. Quite confusing. Maybe it will be a simple live album or the second leg announcement but something in the language makes me think something unusual is afoot.

The nicko health issues i think has acelerate all the process. Maybe he said one more album and then i quit,and they said of he quits we all retire.
So....finish the tour,new album tour and maybe....a last farewell tour? or maybe not.They said many times that they are not going to do a farewell tour.

Bruce solo album releasing for sure next year. He himself has said it. No new album for sure but maybe a live album of TFP with release in blu ray, cd, etc. in fact it’s super hard to speculate what they’ve got on their mind right now but doubt it’ll be a new album.

P.S. I hope I’m wrong.

There is absolutely no way this tour isn't having another leg in 2024 it's 100% a sure bet. These tours are booked WELL in advance, the promoters would be aware what the tour is and contracts would already be signed etc months ago, plans won't change they will see that through.

If there is any possibility of a new album it will be recorded after powertrip this year or early next for a Sept 2024 release setting up a 2025 tour nicely. There may or may not be a lead single in next years set.

But talk of altering course changing there 2024 plans isnt happening,

You never know with Bruce and his solo album, but I think he will release it next year. If Maiden will record an album in the winter that would affect his touring plans for sure, but if they record it early next year (or in 2025), then that wouldn't be a problem.

I also think the tour will have a 2nd leg next year for sure, but it's hard to say what their plans are, especially in recent years and with all the surprises (album, tours, songs) and a 50th anniv coming up. The timing of this ''hint'' is really confusing - unless they have the album ready?
You suggest TBOS type of release and tour. It's possible, but I think they will wait until 2025 to announce and release it. New single in the current tour next year? I doubt it. This tour is for SJ and SIT to shine and to release a concert video from it.
