Yeah, I believe so too, but still, there were so much more mistakes than ever at the 1st gig.
Belgrade, Serbia 10 February 2009 (the start of the 3rd leg of Somewhere Back In Time World Tour) was funny case.
-Adrian starts 2 Minutes To Midnight instead of Wrathchild, the band carries on.
-Nicko randomly counts The Trooper in (21:10). Band reactions are hillarious. Then he proceeds to mess up Phantom Of The Opera at 22:20.
-And my favourite, Adrian starts playing Wasted Years instead of Trooper. Bruce tells him to get his eyes ****ing checked (28:45).
-after Hallowed Be Thy Name, Bruce thinks it's the end of the show. He says goodnight, see you later, while the band just stands there like, WTF is he doing?
After he gave so much **** to Nicko and Adrian during the show, he ****ed up in the end too.
Hallowed Be Thy Name was the last song of the set, on the previous years leg of the tour, that's why Bruce must have thought that it was the last song of the evening.

I was there. But as I said before those were setlist mistakes. Yesterdays ones were performance mistakes.

How bad were the mistakes? I've seen some early shows on these tours in the last few tours and Im going to see Maiden on saturday.
Nothing that can't be ironed out (no pun intended) in the next few shows.

But it seemed to me like the monitoring was awful and that resulted in the band getting nervous and they started fucking things up.

Ok, have to follow this. Im not probably going to check any video or audio before my own show..but I trust you and the other people here will probably inform if anything out of ordinary happens on the next 2 Prague dates etc.

I hope they concluded from this tour that it always makes sense to pick some great song of the past that has never been staged yet and give it a late live debut. I mean, they never did this before and now can see how people love ATG, so there's hope they'll follow the example of 2023 and bring in some other legendary songs like OTGDY or Prodigal Son in the future.

It seems that among all the live debuts (or re-debuts for those that have not been played since the last century), Hell on Earth had the fewest errors. Much of it sounded very similar to the studio recording.

Also listening through the show again, it seems to me like Dave has 2 different pre-amps. SIT songs really sound like GK amps, while other songs sounded like his usual rig. I think I have also seen something that looked like AxeFx FM3 on his pedalboard.

Why band of this level has serious monitoring issues... and as some of you said, throughout the whole show....
They really should be using in-ear monitors by this stage but I guess they're probably too old and set in their ways. I think only H uses them.
