The Future Past tour 2023

Adrian with lovely guitar fills (SIT vibe) during the calm middle part of Days Of Future Past and Bruce's ''Scream for me!'', ofc.

I think that part was shorter?

Nicko's drum kit has an artwork with SJ Eddie on every piece. I knew it would be SJ-themed. The main colour is black, methinks (like in 1993). He liked this approach since LOTB tour.

Edit: I think the kit would look better without the artworks on it.

Those backdrop graphics for Hell On Earth and Alexander... Are incredible. So...

WHY THE FUCK ARE THERE NO SHIRTS WITH THOSE:
Agreed. With Sign Of The Cross in 2018 was the same. I think they will release Alexander's though.

Btw, the new Alexander artwork is similar to the one for Clansman for LOTB.

This tour makes you realize how important the Somewhere in Time album is. Just like in the case of Operation Mindcrime, I got a feeling that it isn't mentioned as much as Seventh Son, Appetite for Destruction and Master of Puppets. Should have been a full performance. Maiden could easly cut Death of the Celts and Time Machine (10:18+7:08) and the show would still be shorter with Sea of Madness, Distance Runner and Deja-Vu (5:42+6:31+4:57) replacing them. I can't belive I'll get to experience this show and later in the year Geoff Tate doing Operation Mindcrime in it's entirety.

Death Of The Celts live.

It's kind of surprising, but it's a specific song for live performances, especially the vibe. I think all three of them play the intro melodies, but Janick again plays most of the leads. The main melodic riff is played by him and Adrian? He doesn't have a lot of solos in the set, but he's pretty busy.

Great to see Maiden starting up another tour. The setlist looks really good I think, great SIT choices, glad they kept Writing on the wall, The prisoner is a great pick instead of the other classic tracks from the same album. Can I play with madness is a fine live song that is not overplayed as well. Wasted years is a great ending. Almost as bold as the setlist in 2006. I kind of regret not seeing them this summer.

Yeah I remember saying this might be the last tour with this lineup. With the simplified drumming, it feels like this could be the last tour with Nicko.
When Nicko is done, the band is done (touring at least). Sadly, we are nearing the end however you look at it. In my eyes, the way they were reminiscing their history during WY yesterday is a subtle reminder of this. And I don't think they would ever announce a farewell tour. When it's over it's over.

There are no photos from the opening night of the tour on Maiden's official site, like they did in 2016 and 2018.

Am I the only one who dont like new artworks? They look like they are generated in AI tool :D

Alex artwork is copy paste of Clansman and HoE is crossover between Day After Tomorrow movie poster and Sabaton New York merch.
HoE would be better with artwork in style of WTWWB
