I didn't expect that. But Bruce needed an opponent for his laser gun haha.Looks like I predicted 3 Eddie thing
The harmony in CSiT sounds downright dreamy. I dunno if it's just the venue and phone recording, but even Janick's tone fits right in and that's fucking crazy if you ask me.From what I heard they really really REALLY managed to recreate the 1986/86 Gallien Kruger guitar sound extremely proper. H is very middy on ATG and CSIT with that smooth Chorus effect. Which belongs to the very big surprises on this tour obviously. It wouldn't sound half as good with the crunchy Rock&Roll-kinda tone they had for years.
That could've been Rod Bloody SmallwoodI didn't expect that. But Bruce needed an opponent for his laser gun haha.
I think this was an important part of recreating the SiT vibe. But they prepared it right. It’s amazing. The harmony in CSiT sounds downright dreamy. I dunno if it's just the venue and phone recording, but even Janick's tone fits right in and that's fucking crazy if you ask me.
There were a lot of fuck ups, but who the hell cares. This was mindblowing.
And that was only the very first night which usually is pretty rough. Really exciting how they'll sound in two weeks or so. BTW, anybody wants my Krakow ticket June 13? if so, PM me.I think this was an important part of recreating the SiT vibe. But they prepared it right. It’s amazing.
They're probably making some phone calls right now and asking to please play more classics! LOLOne thing's for sure, the banking executives at Power Trip will be zoning out with this setlist
Bruce's face reading the Futureal posts...
Hey... everyone's a critic. And there's nothing wrong with it. But I also concur that a fair share of people would only be satisfied if they'd write the setlist themselves for every single Maiden gig. And even then they would find something to complain .No, it's just fucking tedious to see that whatever Maiden do, people bitch. It spoils the fun for people who are there first and foremost to enjoy the ride. They play new stuff? People scream "play classics!" They play classics? People scream "cabaret!" They even out between new stuff and classics? It's the wrong new songs and the wrong classics. You might think this is funny, but damn, you wouldn't believe how quickly it gets old.
He sung it better than on the '86 tour that's for sure. Also, obvious fuck ups aside: I genuinely think that this might be one of the best sung versions of CSiT ever, which is nothing sort of, I dunno, mind-cuntdamn-boggling if you want a superlative. How does he do it? Sure, there's the familiar strain on the high notes that's been there for a while, but overall it's just way more consistent and on key than the song's ever been.
