The Future Past tour 2023

Fantastic! I hope you enjoy it. I have a friend who is doing his PhD in Edmonton, and he invited me over for the concert to save on accommodation costs. Unfortunately, I cannot afford the flight fares, and I wouldn't have enough time for visa approval since it has been taking too long to issue it. I'll wait until the South America dates.
Sorry you can't make it this year. It's a lot of money to travel overseas for a concert and I was debating whether it's worth it. I tried to rationalize it - I usually do some type of trip each year, and due to the pandemic, I haven't gone anywhere outside of Canada in three full years now, so I can spend a bit more now since I haven't spent anything on travel since 2019.

It would be a dream to see Iron Maiden in South America. Maybe next year...

I'll be there (heading over from Toronto, Canada). I'm really looking forward to seeing the concert of course (and British Lion's), but I'm also looking forward to spending a few extra days in Ljubljana. It looks like a beautiful city, and it's close to a bunch of natural attractions (mountains, caves, lakes).

Slovenia is a beautiful country. I went there on holiday with my wife back in 2013 (also managed to see some bits of Croatia, including a wild Maiden gig in Zagreb) and would love to go back at some point in the future.

So jelous about you guys. I am on vessel until August, missing whole tour.
Next weeknd will be so busy for me that I dont think I will be able to monitor setlist in real time.

Don't mention the M word!!!

I think that both approaches are valid. With Iron Maiden every fan gets to see the same show, but once you have seen one you have seen all (says someone who is going to both London gigs this year). With Metallica you have surprises (great!), although you risk being disappointed if you get, for instance, I Disappear, and the following night at a gig you are not attending they play One instead (I have just chosen two examples at random  ).

As a bonus, with Metallica you do not get called “Greek cunt”.
That's the downer of changing setlists. Still it would be cool if Maiden could do something like Metallica, just for one tour.

Just seeing pics with the guys coming out of rehearsals makes me extra-hyped, even if I will not attend the shows this year.
Me too and Im going to see them on june 3rd. Definltely hyped and it was almost precisely 1 year ago that I saw them last live (which was on june 4).
Makes think a bit about the actual future and aging..we might not have too much sands of time left.
Im forever grateful to have Maiden in my life for so long time and without Steve Harrs my life would be much duller.
It was so pleasant news to hear in 1999 that Adrian and Bruce came back..I wouldn't have guessed that they would still be here with us today, Im willing to bet that if they hadn't returned with this lineup, then we could have said goodbye to Maiden years ago.
