What the actual fuck is happening on 29.03.2019? @Zare

Was at Slayer last night. Great show, best I've ever seen from them. They played something off every album, although I think maybe the Seasons in the Abyss album was over represented at the expense of Show no Mercy and Hell Awaits. They're such a well oiled machine, tight as fuck, and little messing around.

You're never shouting "get to the working overtime part" at a Slayer gig.

Anthrax were ok but a very short set was let down by playing weak tracks like Be All, End All and something from a recent album, basically if you're only getting 7 songs, play your 7 biggest hits.

Lamb of God not my thing but they definitely had a better reaction and more people watching them than Anthrax so were justifiably 2nd on the bill. Missed a lot of Obituary, they aren't my thing either way, and the only track I like Slowly We Rot seemed a bit sloppy.

Diabolus In Musica was the only lp skipped. Same set I saw in Texas . Glad they finally brought something from Divine Intervention back. Was killer!

yeah sorry, haven't listened to anything post Divine Intervention too much bar World Painted Blood, and I thought Payback was from Diabolus.

EDIT: I also had no idea what track Jihad was and just presumed it was from Christ Illusion

Saw the Hair Nation tour last night featuring Enuff Z'nuff, Bulletboys, & Jack Russell's Great White as hosted by Eddie Trunk in Houston @the House of Blues. Enjoyed it much more than I thought I would! Every band played great! Bulletboys' singer Marq back in the day was just the singer but now he is also the lead guitarist and he is pretty good. The number of people who turned out was disappointing but the noise we made more than made up for it. Eddie said it was the best reception on the tour.

Ghost was absolutely incredible on Thursday night. @Detective Beauregard and @Lampwick 43 and I went out drinking beforehand, met up with some fellow ghouls, and then rocked out to the 7pm (prompt!) show.

It was over 2 hours long with an intermission and the setlist was incredible. The flow was great, the performance was great, and the set pieces were perfect. See this tour!

We even found a tired Papa Emeritus in the crowd! (me: bottom right, Lampwick: top left behind Papa's shoulder)

On Wednesday I saw Devilskin, a band from New Zealand, play in a tiny venue in London. They're a very good live band and it was a good show overall. The support bands were Fallen State and Temples on Mars.

Next up is Within Temptation in Manchester next weekend. I'm looking forward to this a lot. :) I also bought a ticket for Bloodstock festival a few days ago. :edmetal:

10/11 Within Temptation, Manchester
25/11 The Amorettes, Southamption
4/12 Tremonti, London
8/12 Nightwish, London
16/12 Kreator/Dimmu Borgir, London
late March: Cellar Darling
16/4 Avantasia, London

8/8-11/8 Scorpions/Sabaton, Bloodstock Open Air
