Me, too.Wow,I slept for 6 hours and there is too much to take in from this thread.
205 bpm on songsterr. So slower than Aces HighMe, too.
I wasn't that hyped about the album, but this review has skyrocketed my level of hype!
Also, what about Futureal? Not as fast as Purgatory and the others?
Come on ! Please the fans who want short rockers ? With their status, they will only do what they really want. I dont think they ll come back to the short rockers anytime soon.
Woah guys, TBOS isn't even out yet. One album at a time people.
*Goes to start a prediction thread for what Maiden's next album will be like*Woah guys, TBOS isn't even out yet. One album at a time people.
To be honest, long epic progressive songs are what modern Maiden are good at now. Most their most respected and praised songs, post 2000, are epics. For example, Dance of Death, Paschendale, Brighter Than a Thousand Suns, The Legacy, Starblind, Isle of Avalon, The Talisman, When The Wild Wind Blows.
Whereas some of the songs that have had the most lukewarm reception are the short "rockers" such as Gates of Tomorrow, Wildest Dreams, The Final Frontier, New Frontier, Different World.
Even if there is the slightest glimmer of hope that there will be a seventeenth studio album, I don't want Maiden to go back and try write these short fast songs in a vain attempt to get to praise from the fans of the 80s hits, because they'll no doubt fall on their collective arses.
Hell yes! Also, Maiden have plenty of the elements from the short, fast rockers in their longer, epic, progressive songs. If the people who don't like those types of songs can't see that, that's too bad for them.To be honest, long epic progressive songs are what modern Maiden are good at now. holy fuck! Before i get to excited does anyone know about this Dom Lawson fellow?
At the same time, this is in contradiction with my complaints about the fanzines, lacking info on the new album. Yes, I know, confusing. Just can't make up my mind now we're getting closer to the album release.Hi everybody. I do not plan to hear more samples (if there will be any) before the album is released.
But I also didn't dare to read that review, yet. I am incredibly tempted, but didn't manage to click a link or open a spoiler tag.
Does it feel as a spoiler to you?
Of course we haven't heard the music yet, but the readers know more about the content because it is described. I'm afraid it could stain the listening experience somewhat.
