Senjutsu - 3rd September 2021

However, I don't think even a band as talented and experienced as maiden, could possibly bang out an album out of nothing in 6 weeks.

Bands like Thee Oh Sees or King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard are banging out multiple, increasingly complex, quality albums every year and if they can do a band like Iron Maiden definitely could they just choose not to, if they wanted to keep producing music after ending the live act i could easily see them making a lot of them

Could be!! Probably we'll get Senjutsu - In the studio III first?! Let's see.

Maybe prolly with Dave, Janick and Nicko but give us Stratego already like come on. I really wanna hear some classic maiden gallops (something like in Dream of Mirrors) which was also composed by Arry n Janick.

TBOS was recorded in a span of 4 months (Sept - Dec of 2014). I think same is for Senjutsu (I think Jan - April 2019). Having read all Senjutsu reviews, I'm pretty sure its gonna be another complex album like TBOS.

They were in Paris from March 2019 to May 2019, for Senjutsu. Writing, rehearsing and recording were all done in those weeks, in that span of time.

Bruce said that Senjutsu is more complex and varied than TBOS (and that it's a better album than TBOS, too).

Done a little forum archive research- Book Of Souls was leaked at 28 August, 7 days before it’s release at 4th September. So starting August 27 we might get something, but I’ll also wait stratego song release. Maybe a next week release, what do you think?
If they release ''Stratego'' as the second single I think it will be next week - two weeks prior to the album is plausible. The big campaign was done for the debut single, so they can easily pass without an announcement beforehand.

Yeah, especially if album leak won't arrive before 1st or 2nd of September, a new song released this coming week would be perfect timing.

It would hugely ease the wait, giving us another song 2 weeks earlier than the album.

As I wrote here before, my bet is on Stratego release in a day between tomorrow and Friday 20th. Maybe it sounds like a paradox, but I guess that if it won't come out by Friday, it won't come out at all, before the album.

Right. March to May. Got a bit confused there.

TFF: released 13th August
Eldorado: released on 8th June (more than 2 months before album release)
Final Frontier video: released 13th July (1 month before album release)

So we could very well get Stratego especially since the sticker says "includes TWOTW and Stratego". You wouldn't say "includes" if the song isn't out prior to album release.

For some reason I am expecting Stratego to be something along the lines of Gates of tomorrow. Really cool ideas but a chorus repeated way too much.

How many times has Maiden released more than one song from an album prior to release? I remember A Matter of Life and Death had quite a bit of material released ahead of time, but that amount seems unthinkable now (and we’re too late for that anyway).

I can also think of Final Frontier, but in retrospect I wonder if they would’ve made the title track the first single if the video had been ready in time.

But wasn't El Dorado released cause they were already on tour?
That’s what I’m saying. If they had the video ready in time, maybe they would’ve played Final Frontier on tour instead. This is pure speculation on my part.

Hoping for GOTN quality and pray that it’s not another Pilgrim or Alchemist. That would be a disappointment for me, but maybe a highlight for someone else.

being a Maiden fan requires a strong stomach my friend. Seriously though, I expect it to be something between The Alchemist and Gates of tomorrow. Don't forget that Jan is following Bruce's vocals. So....
While I like the Alchemist, I expect something better this time, they haven't released those as singles, but will see. Also, I expect song snippets also appear at Amazon etc. where you can listen into all the songs a few days prior.

Probably true. Even if they won a Grammy for the track, El Dorado wasn't technically a proper single, I'd say. It was just an extract from the album in order to present it live, imo.

The pilgrim. I think you missed that and I’m hoping its like pilgrim. What a track man
