RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

Agreed. Maiden could not sell stadiums in US without a massive package lineup, even on a farewell tour.

At most, they could do a summer amphitheater tour if they wanted to maximize ticket sales.
They would have to get creative with support, maybe two arena level bands as openers? Judas Priest, Megadeth, Lamb of God, Gojira, Ghost, Mastodon jump to mind. Also probably a more limited ~10 show tour. It might not be a bad idea after a few years of flooding the NA market.

Ród words are interesting but also - he is selling this tour right now so exaggeration is expected. Happy about them playing songs from all 9 albums, I don’t expect deep cuts from NPFTD but then again - this album is not their favorite so they can go wild with song pics since there is slim to none chance of making someone sad. Bit about bringing songs to live in a new way is interesting but again, he is selling tour, so he can just mean a new backdrop.

I was actually very excited at the announcement of this tour but I've seen a lot of complaints since, so I've decided to join in with my own as it seems like good fun, so here we go.

Oh no my favourite band are still touring 50 years after they were formed and are playing a setlist consisting solely of certified hall of fame heavy metal all time classics that also happen to be some my favourite songs ever recorded, oh no please don't that sounds awful, spare me!

Yeah, how dare they to offend me with playing hits from they 9 first, legendary, albums. Bastards!

Come on, this is so incredibly disingenuous lol

Yeah, Maiden is my favorite band. Unfortunately the 80s are my least favorite part of their career and large parts why they are my favorite band in the first place is because of the material of the 90s and 2000s. Of course I'm still grateful that they continue touring, but I won't cheer them on for playing songs I don't really like or that I've heard a million times before.

Just imagine for a second that they'd play your least favorite album in its entirety plus a couple of classics. Would you really have no complaints at all? I'm sure that if the tour would be heavy on VXI for example, a ton of people here would be disappointed and the complaints would be endless. Somehow then it would be justified, but having the nerve to not adore the "Run For Your Lives" concept apparently goes too far.

There isn't a single setlist concept that would turn me away from seeing them live. At the end of the day the nitpicking over which songs they play or don't play doesn't translate to the offline enjoyment of a Maiden show.

If I could enjoy the Virtual XI tour, I can enjoy anything they do!

I want the tour to be 80s heavy, but give me 2-3 "recent" songs. BNW, Ghost of the Navigator, These Colours Don’t Run, Benjamin Breeg etc

Does somebody know how does the presale system work? Like how much tickets can be sold during pre sales? Can Maiden fan club presale sell like idk 20-30% of the venue's maximum capacity or if there's enough demand all tickets can be sold? And after Maiden presale there's Live Nation's, Ticketmaster's (or whatever else ticket organization) with their presale dates. Do they also have like set precentage that they can sell or is it as much as wanted? And after all these presales comes general sale, but how much ticket's are left at that moment. Is there a rules that at least some portion of tickets are always available through general sale? Would be pretty sad if Maiden is performing in your home city (smaller places like Budapest, Bratislava etc) but locals can't attend because all the tickets have been bought by foreign fans through presales? Especially in Budapest where it is first night of the classics tour so lots of fans from other countries want to attend.
When Maiden visited Tallinn in 2018 (first night), me and my family got the tickets, but I think it was through Live Nation presale code.
So, long question short, is there possiblity that you can't buy tickets from general sale because everything has been bought?
