RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

Yeah, I don't understand the hate Simon got here when it was first announced. The guy is a pro. Of course it sucks that Nicko is gone but if it has to be this way then getting a session player was the right move.
While I'm not in that camp, I chalk it down to a combination of the shock from reality setting in, and the lack of prestige in that replacement.

So do you think they will introduce Simon in some way before the start of the tour? Maybe a clip from the rehearsals and a bit of a spoken introduction of who he really is... Or do we get the first taste of the new Iron Maiden drummer at the first gig like any other session musician?

In one of those short pre-tour videos they do with a few words as a greeting, probably, but this:
I expect them to downplay his presence as much as possible, especially since it seems like they’re still treating Nicko as a member of the band.
is also something they could do.

Well I've finally got my tickets to Birmingham!!!! :) :)

I can't wait, I've been hoping since the tour was announced I'd get some, and now I'm going!!! :) :) :)

Now when the guys start with either Tailgunner or Be Quick Or Be Dead (hopefully!), I won't have a crushing sense of disappointment that I couldn't get tickets, yes!!!
Just to help anyone out if they're struggling to get tickets to Birmingham, I got mine through some Official Venue Hospitality tickets which were released about Thursday.

They're a bit more expensive than normal tickets, but I'd rather pay a bit more to see the show, than not see the 50th Anniversary Tour.

If you go to the Utilita Arena website, click on "Find Tickets", that will open up an axs.com link, click on the very first "Tickets" link, and that will open up the venue map.

My tickets are in Upper Block 2, Row AA. So, yes while in an ideal world, I'd have liked to have been in the lower block, as least I'll be seeing the show now, which is something I was starting to loose hope that I'd do as we're getting closer and closer to the show.

There are only 7 tickets left in this section if anyone wants them as of 8:30 UK time on 12th April 2025.
Just thought I'd help some fellow fans out! :)

Thanks for the tips! My mates and I were debating Birmingham instead of London.

However, I come from an along line of West Ham supporters (my name is on a brick outside the stadium). My grandad (rest his soul) would never forgive me!

the part where Adrian says and the phrase "completely new" gave me hope that this setlist will be as surprising as future past tour.

"Yeah, it should be great. It should be great. A new setlist. We've been doing ['The Future Past'] thing for the best part of three years, so it's a completely new set. I think the fans are gonna absolutely love it. And we'll be starting rehearsing in a couple of weeks. And it's just getting ready for it and going out again. And I can't wait, really."

I will not add a song from Future Past, except Fear and Iron Maiden to my setlist guess. Even Trooper is at stake, which is very fine with me.

I think completely new means this, not more, and for the stage. Surprising, we'll see. But at least 3 songs from the previous tour will be played - Iron Maiden, Fear and Trooper. It remains to be seen if there will be a SIT song.
I'm not worried about the setlist either. The last time Maiden had a less than stellar setlist was over a decade ago with the Maiden England tour. And that was only slightly disappointing.
The set should be more interesting, not like ME, which was such (since the Reunion and after the 2008 tour). I liked Afraid, but Aces and some omissions... especially Infinite Dreams and Killers. They should have played the whole album for something different, more SSOASS songs was right.
I have to imagine Simon's had the setlist for a good while and has been learning the songs inside and out in his spare time since January at the latest. If his tempo's more solid and consistent than Nicko's was (especially on parts of Future Past), I don't know if more than the usual rehearsal time is needed. That, and since he was backup on Future Past, I imagine the band's all played with him prior to this.
This.

The fans want to hear him playing first? Because it's from BL, not big name...? Nah.

As I saw that for the very first time, I recognized some hints that Adrian suggested they would be touring the Run For Your Lives project for three years in a row. 2025 - EU/UK, 2026 - ROW, 2027 - back in the EU. Something as we knew from the Maiden England Tour 2012 - 2024. I know it's a misinterpretation, but... you never know.

LotB was always intended to last for three years and they're obviously in no hurry to get back in the studio any time soon, if ever. If nothing cataclysmic happens and nobody calls it quits (and honestly, possibly even if another one of them does, depending on who it is) I could totally see them extending the tour into 2027. But yeah, that's way out at this stage, anything could happen before then.

Just watched Ghost's new single Lachryma and it got me wandering - will Bruce be wearing some kind of mask during Phantom of the Opera. Knowing him and his love for theatrics I would say it's quite possible seeing him wear the famous Phantom mask. It's rather weird he hasn't done it before.

He could wear the mask, I think. He might wear a cape or something too. I personally believe that Phantom Eddie will make an appearance.

If so, it would make sense to alter the lyrics the way Ghost did for their cover--"I'm the phantom of the opera" etc. vs "you're the phantom of the opera." Doubtful they'd go that far, though.
