Nope, 2003. It was one of the encores (and a superb one).
Indeed. I wonder if Bring Your Daughter could be used again as an encore (if they play it) - or it will be the usual classics. It's an easy song for the band. I can't see any other 90's song in this position.

Well, not playing anything from No Prayer would go agains description of the tour (from Iron Maiden to Fear of the Dark and on official page we can read 'a very special set list, spanning the nine studio albums from ‘Iron Maiden’ to ‘Fear Of The Dark’'). So something from No Prayer is a sure. And I must tell you - I'm more excited for that & fear of the dark than for anything they can play from NotB etc.

I would say that Bring Your Daughter is safe bet - it is a good song, it is quite easy to play and would probably fit nicely into the set.

Bah, I stand corrected! I always forget the Give Me 'Ed Tour happened for some weird reason.

Given that, I'll have to reevaluate my statement about Tailgunner being a likelier grab from NPFTD--that is, if they eschew Aces High, since it's been pretty well represented in recent years (in-the-setlist-wise, not necessarily performance-wise). Even though it's still been out of the set for over 20 years still, I'll concede BYDTTS is the safer bet.

"From IM to FOTD" means that songs from that time span will be played. It does NOT necessarily mean that every album of that span will be featured.
My guess it that they will only play FOTD title track, and no song off No Prayer. If they really feature that album, you can bet your left testicle that it will be Bring Your Daughter...
Some People here speculated on Public Enema or Hooks In You, but that's less likely than Donald Trump turning liberal. Maiden are generally shy of deep cuts, and if they get daring, it would never be from their least popular albums. It will be Daughter or nothing.
If you are really, really lucky, you may get Afraid to Shoot Strangers, but I highly doubt it. According to Metal Injection Bruce said he ltour will feature some never before played songs, but I highly doubt that those will be from these two albums.

Which is sad, actually. There are some cool gems that long for a place in the spotlight.

This is my thinking as well. The tour spans to Fear of the Dark just to cover its title track. Otherwise the tour would be spanning from Iron Maiden to Seventh Son of the Seventh Son.

Press release is speaking about 'first nine albums' so I will say that they will play at least one song from NPFTD.

I want NPFTD, but I think they will only do Fear of the dark or Fear and Daughter. I have a feeling they said the 9 first albums, just to include Fear of the Dark and I'm absolutely fine with that, more songs from the better albums.

Tailgunner - good song and has 'trace your way back 50 years', but some of the other lyrics have dated badly and are awful. Bruce seems to have dashed it off in a few minutes. I actually think for the first time ever, Maiden should tinker with the lyrics, make them less like the scribbling of a juvenile school boy, and rewrite a few lines!!!

Daughter - enjoyed seeing and hearing it in 2003 and it needs to come back.

FOTD - obvs

If they think a ten minute dirge like Sign of the Cross is a must-play on multiple tours this century then they can bring back anything from the first two Gers albums. Both of those albums sold three or four times what the Blaze albums did.

Sign of the Cross gained some significant status for being on Rock in Rio, though. And I'm glad it did, as it was one of the highlights on the Legacy tour and I'm so grateful for seeing it live four times. I think the realistic options on No Prayer & Fear of the Dark are more or less limited to Bring Your Daughter... to the Slaughter, Fear of the Dark, Be Quick or be Dead & Afraid to Shoot Strangers and the actual setlist choices among those are probably limited to two, possibly three cuts anyway.

If history is any indicator this next tour will be strictly greatest hits without many or any deep cuts unfortunately. They’ve just done a two year deep cut and new material tour.

I interpreted it as at least one from the first nine albums, and even in Maiden standards it would be a colossal middle finger to the 90s not to do even Bring Your Daughter* and Afraid To Shoot Strangers*. And frankly the two songs I mostly look forward are the 90s apart from FOTD title track. And when you say better albums, well, depends entrirely which songs we are talking about. Those two* anyday over Hills or Beast. If we are talking about Dune / gem from Killers / Infinite Dreams etc then it is much more difficult to pick.

I mean overall better albums (objectively). I am bored of 666 and Hills as well but they're still better than any song from NPFTD. Anyway they will play the hits. So, I just prefer the other tracks to be from the first 7 albums. I like Afraid to shoot strangers but I feel it hasn't aged well. If we had this conversation 20 years ago I'd say that I really want to see it live again. Bring your daughter is as boring as 666 or any other hit, even though they don't play it live much. It's the safe choice still. I think they might play it and it's ok. Not gonna be the highlight of the tour no matter what. Deep cuts that deserve to be played live from the last 2 albums don't exist apart from NPFTD. I don't think they will play it. So, I just prefer more tracks from the first 7 albums so that we have as much deep cuts as possible.

I'd be happy if they do max 2 songs from these albums. I want to see live as many deeper cuts from the other 7 albums as possible.
Tbh, I can't choose between an 80's deep cut or a 90's one. It depends, but it's tough. The 80's ones aren't that many though.

edit: for example, I really want to hear To Tame A Land, that's like a top priority now. Some other 80's gems such as Still Life, OTGDY, Killers, Prowler, Sea, or Infinite Dreams (the possible ones to say) are also up there, but so are Be Quick, Wasting Love, JBMG, NPFTD, even Daughter. Close. Rime is a special case, but I prefer to hear some rare 90's stuff (like around 9 songs) than some not so rare/but also not overplayed 80's stuff (songs like Phantom, Murders, Boots, Children, Powerslave, Moonchild).

This. The tour's theme should make sense, and that's what will make it different. It's like early 90's celebration without actually doing it.

Like they did for the LOTB tour.., yeah right. The other Hits tours were without deep cuts??

In general, I like them to play as much as deep cuts as possible, but the set can be 8-10 (max) hits and the rest - surprises. It's now or never. There are a lot of 90's cuts that deserve more play.

Which one? Afraid to shoot strangers? Is it a deep cut? I don't know if it counts. BQOBD maybe. NPFTD maybe. I don't think there is another deep cut from NPFTD that deserves more play. From Fear, JBMG maybe, but would you honestly prefer Judas to Dune or Rime or Still Life or anything else from the first 7 albums?

Somehow I'm still obsessed with the idea of them performing most of their title tracks on this tour, which is why I ended up voting for No Prayer's title track, despite how horribly unlikely that song's chances are to be played.
