By plane, it is approximately 1 hour from Split to Pula or Belgrade. Stage production from Pula concerts (16+17 may) goes by road to Athens (23.may), stage from Belgrade concert (20 may) goes to Sofia (26 may). Doable.

They don't fly the equipment.

The most logical way to ship the equipment by boat from Split to Pula and then to Athens.But I don't think they have done that before mid-tour.

Yeah. But that was a flight from a headline gig to a festival, which has it's own stage and lighting rig. In this case it's headline gig to headline gig.

The problem is that OAKA is a terrible venue. I was there in 2022 and 90 Euros for golden circle was fair. 100+ Euros now for just arena is too expensive imo and it should not sell well. I think I prefer to pay more and go see them in another country, even though I live in Athens.
 
Looking at their schedule, I will be extremely surprised if they manage to squeeze in Sweden Rock Festival 2026. Ask me and I'd say those chances are slim to none.

Sweden Rock Festival 2026 would take place from June 3rd to June 6th 2026.
Iron Maiden's webpage has them in Germany on June 2nd and June 6th 2026.

Looking at the rest of it, I'd be very surprised if they do anything in Sweden at all. It's not on the way to any of the rest of the stuff.

4th of June is completely doable and very likely.

There is a big gap between 2nd and 6th of June, and there have been rumours for a while that they will be at Sweden Rock.

You can drive from Germany to Sweden in about 20 minutes*.

*slight exaggeration but it's really not far.

I don't live in Athens anymore and do not plan to go for the show. But why do you think that the Olympic Stadium is a bad venue? It's a classic stadium, sound is not worse than other stadiums in the world and access is easy. The problems you'll get there, you'll get anywhere in a stadium.

They should have used the Panathenaic Stadium. :)
 
Knebworth probably won't be a sell out and I can forsee ticket prices being dropped like what happened to Slayer this year. On the other hand, they have a loyal fanbase who will travel miles to see them. And it's the only UK show of 2026. Judging by next year's festival announcements, it looks like most of the good bands (Sabaton etc) will have already been booked for Download, hence the lacklustre line-up for Knebworth.

That being said, and I hate to have to say this, but some of y'all are miserable gits. They announce a huge outdoor show and (as far as we know) the last date of the tour and it's nothing but complaining and negativity. Ok, you're not going, congratulations. And I do have to stop gritting my teeth to hear Londoners, who live an hour from the venue complaining about it being too far when I'm (potentially) making a 7 hour drive without complaining about it (although I may fly to Luton instead). You'd think that Steve Harris had just shat in your cornflakes by the way some of you are moaning about this.

Anyway, rant over. Let's all get excited about going to Maiden gigs next year for a change!

Sweden Rock on June 4:th is the same kind of problem going to France, Norway/Denmark and then back to France in between gigs every second day. And that is totally happening.

Oh yeah, thanks for the correction. Still cool and something noticeable for this special/potentially one of their biggest show. If they were to retire, this show could have been with surprises (maybe setlist, lineup, although it's not easy to bring old classic bands); like they did in 2014 with the Spitfire). The lineup is not classic metal, but it will be successful. Now it's a big highlight from a tour. Maybe they are testing for the future with this kind of like a ''Maiden festival''.

-> they should release a pro-shot video for one song from it, it's a must.

During daylight, right. Resurrection Fest might release a song like they did with Bruce a few days ago. Good thing the band said about the recording of the Paris show. I really hope this time they will use a new art full of details/background for a cover and include some interviews (despite the upcoming documentary) to the release. Like the good old days. For this special tour. As I say, live album/video from every tour will never get old!

Shit, I didn't even notice that back-and-forth between France-Scandinavia-France until you pointed it out :facepalm: I could blame it on a lack of a good night's sleep, though I might just be stupid ::) Thanks for the a-ha moment!

As a Swede, I am totally eying the possibility to go to Oslo this time. Sweden Rock is both far away and bad in terms of scheduling for my kind of work. I hope the actual date for Oslo isn't too far away however (and the ability to buy single day tickets).
