RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2026

Shit, I didn't even notice that back-and-forth between France-Scandinavia-France until you pointed it out  I could blame it on a lack of a good night's sleep, though I might just be stupid ::) Thanks for the a-ha moment!
As a Swede, I am totally eying the possibility to go to Oslo this time. Sweden Rock is both far away and bad in terms of scheduling for my kind of work. I hope the actual date for Oslo isn't too far away however (and the ability to buy single day tickets).

Knebworth support bill is better for a hard rock or pop/rock fan than it is for a metal fan. To be fair, that should widen the appeal of the show and attract a more general hard rock / Planet Rock radio crowd, which is probably a bigger plus than the real metal (ie Bloodstock) crowd would be.

I had to miss Slayer this summer but it seems turnout was average.

If maiden sell 80,000+ that would be a major success, but the real implication is that there’s no rush to buy a ticket I think

They don't fly the equipment.

The most logical way to ship the equipment by boat from Split to Pula and then to Athens. But I don't think they have done that before mid-tour.
You will need 2.5 days from Pula to Pireus by vessel. And with berthing port schedule, loading/unloading and transfering to port this will be total 4 days at the best case scenario.

I really miss them realising DVDs. TBOS, LOTB and TFP tours really needed DVDs and them never reissuing Live at Donington and Raising hell is such a shame. We never got part 4 history documentary.

Good we're getting RFYL DVD in late 2026 probably.
There was a time not long ago when lots of fans complained that Maiden releases too much live albums, basically after every tour. And now fans complain that Maiden doesn't release live albums.
I guess people will always complain and you can never make everyone happy.

Ok, that's out then. Personally don't know about the shipping times by on the sea.

I guess the most realistic scenario is, if Pula even happens, they start the tour in Pula and do another gig between it and Athens. But this kinda doesn't make sense, as they always do the first show indoors and the Pula arena is basically the most crowded point in the city.

But maybe Pula will not happen due to logistical reason. Director was maybe too fast with statements before official decision for the event.

I really hope they have in the vault live shows from all tours since 99

Were people really complaining though? Mind you, the last live concert video (officially at least) was 2017 and the last live album was 2021 (and that one was a mixed bag to say the least).

All I hope for is a high quality video/album that doesn't cut corners on the sound quality *cough, bring back Kevin Shirley, cough*.

In Greece the presales for fan club members, started in pretty low numbers, cause of the prices (Arena at 103 euros). We are a poor country.Hope the situation changes when the tickets open up for everybody.I think that they should have chosen a smaller venue though.Greek metal fans have already given a fair amount of money for a Metallica concert in May also, so i don't know if there is enough money to go to both concerts.

With these prices, 30k people is the most they should expect. OAKA is a huge place with pretty bad sound and it will be half empty imo (the arena at least). 103,5 Euros for a standing ticket, when in 2022 it was 90 Euros for Golden Circle.

Bought my ticket today in a presale (75€). Arrived about 10 minutes before the store opened and already had roughly 40/50 people in front of me. When I left one hour and a half later there was still the same number of people in the queue. So yeah... seems to be selling nice, here.

You bought physical tickets?

I think the promoter will give away some tickets for free, through radio stations or social media. Prices are insane. They should play at terravibe, not oaka.

Yup. July 7, Estádio da Luz. First time seeing Maiden at a stadium BTW. And given the size of the arena (70 000 seats so it takes roughly 80 000 people, perhaps 90 000) if it sells out (as I suspect it will) it will be a monster of a show.
There's nowhere here where you can buy physical tickets. I'm envious.

I fully understand the argument for a Future Past release though - especially considering during the press release for the first year of the tour Steve mentioned Somewhere on Tour was never properly documented.
