This mysterious Asian cryptid has been the subject of various expeditions and is reported to spew forth highly venomous poison as a defense, and can supposedly kill with electricity.

All that springs to mind is the Mongolian Death Worm of the Gobi Desert...Am I right?

Somewhat similar in scope to the desert worms of the book Dune by Frank Herbert. Which is an incredible book, the holy grail of Sci-Fi.

Which of the following car models is the bestselling passenger car in automotive history since the introduction of the Benz Patent Motorwagen in 1886?

A: Ford Escort
B: Ford F-Series
C: Toyota Corolla
D: Volkswagen Beetle
E: Volkswagen Golf

No, well, in a way yes:

Volkswagen Beetle (1938–2003): 21,529,464; the bestselling single design in history, and the first car to reach twenty million sales.

But I'm not looking necessarily for a model which has contained its design from the beginning till the end. More generations of the same model is allowed in this question.

Also not. Still some very impressive trivia:

Ford F-Series (1948–present): America's bestselling vehicle for 23 consecutive years; over 29,000,000 in eleven generations.

Don't get angry mate: no   ;)

The accompaniying trivia:

Volkswagen Golf (1974–present): became Volkswagen's bestseller in 2002; over 25,000,000 in five generations up to 2006.

Two options left.

Great smiley no_5, love it, please leave some of your furniture untouched!  ;)

Loosey has the right answer:

Ford Escort (1968–2003): in six generations, almost 20,000,000 worldwide; Ford's bestselling car nameplate.

Toyota Corolla (1966–present): 31,600,000 in nine generations up to June 2006; the bestselling car worldwide in 2005 (1.36 million), and the bestselling car in Japan in 36 of the last 40 years.

That's because they JUST WON'T DIE.

Have you ever seen the episodes of Top Gear where they try to murder a Toyota pickup?

Oh sweet!  I missed this question about Toyota Corolla.  I know someone
it's me
who owns a new Corolla since November of 2007.  Great car!  Guess what though?  The frickin' A/C does not work -- on a new car!!!  I have an appointment this Thursday, and they better fix it.  I bought this car precisely because I've heard that it "never dies".

Previously I owned a '97 Dodge Neon, a popular car duing that year.  Unfortunately, one of the common faults with the Neon is that the head gasket and the AC tend to break down over time.  I figured I would not have this problem with the Corolla.  Oh well, it is still under warranty.

That would have been my guess as well. It is by far, the most prevalent car in Afghanistan.

Get out?!

My 10-year-old Corolla Tercel is still fine as new, even after over 233,000 Km.  :)
The only problem is that most people see it green, whereas I'm definite that it's blue!

Anyway, back on track: next trivia question?

Since it is Euro Cup time, let's have a Euro Cup question.  Which two players are the last to have scored a hat trick (3 goal in a game) in a Euro Cup tournament?
