We've had answers - but none of us are close enough. So it could be a month or so of stabs in the dark and comical answers.

If I Google "cryptid" and Deano's guess ("worm") together I get what is almost certainly the right answer.  Is this considered cheating?  And, if so, does anyone care at this point?
