Markov *is* in the same caliber.  But the difference is the shot from the point.  Souray and Streit are both -20 players, Markov is +5 or +10 most years.  He is a puck mover.  Souray and Streit were both bombs on the point.  Montreal is doing quite well, though, considering their PP is much shittier than last two years - they are more dangerous 5 on 5 right now.

Right now, Tampa wants...Higgins, Plekanec, Gorges, and O'Byrne, plus the 1st round pick in 2009 and 2010.
All those guys you mentioned are better than any Ranger Blueliner this year. Kind of sad with the money New York is paying Rozival and Redden and Paul Mara ends up being our best D Man. Lunqvist got lit up for six tonight....He has'nt been as good as he has before.

That's all they want for Vinny? Shit if I was Bob Gainey, I' d be on the phone RIGHT NOW!

I think Kovalev is good on the point for the powerplay too. He has a hell of a shot.

You're right, but Kovalev plays the right circle.  Put the puck on his stick, two steps forward and he'll put it in.  I've seen the play literally over 30 times in the last 4 years...Kovalev is simply...unstoppable from there.

It was down the stretch last year, they were playing Boston, and Kovalev, in a 5 on 5 play, had the puck in the Boston zone for 40 seconds (an entire shift), just dancing around Chara and Wideman, till he snapped one through Thomas.  It was an unbelievable play.

Puck hogger!  :p Speaking of Bruins, I am so getting their retro third jersey for my B-day with Neely 8 on the back and a purtty "A" on the front :D I'll get the Sabre's for Christmas :)

My Mother-In-Law has a #4 Bobby Orr from the mid 70's, a #7 and #77 Ray Bourque....My Wife has a #6 ,Yes #6 Joe Thornton and a #33 Zdeno Chara. Chara is her favorite because of his height. She is only 4'9". I have a #77 Phil Esposito, a #11 Mark Messier Road Blue, a #11 Mark MessierHome White, a #35 Mike Richter, a #13 Sergei Nemchinov, which I had special ordered and my most prized possesion in the whole world, my autographed home white #11 Mark Messier. I am going to get a a #23 Chris Drury next.

Dan Fritsche to the Wild, Erik Reitz to the Rangers.  Good move for the Wild, I think, Fritsche is a developing talent who might bring 30+ points from the blue line in a year or two more.  Reitz is...a decent defenseman.

Thank  you .I've been collecting jerseys since about 1980. I also have a collection of game used broken sticks from the now defunct New Haven Night Hawks. I have Bernie Nichols, Daryl Evans,Robbie Ftorek, Nick Fotiu and my favorite, Glenn Healy. I actually taped up the Healy stick and used it in street hockey games. Then I realized the value (sentimental) of it after the Rangers won the cup. I have quite a few has beens and never weres in there as well.

The only names I recognized were Nichols, Ftorek and Healy, the others I have no clue who they were/are.

Evans and Fotiu were wingers that bounced between New Haven and the Kings/Rangers. Fotiu was loved for his willingness to drop the gloves, but for more for his love for fans. After the pre game warm up, he would take the pucks that the training staff would be trying to put away and toss them up to the fans. He would also sign autographs by the tunnel during the warm up and sometimes during intermission. Even as a pro he would do this. I think even in today's game he would still do the puck toss. If anyone cann catch a minor league game, I strongly suggest they do it, especially the AHL. We used to get tickets for $4 in the upper deck, or $10 to sit right up on the glass. My father would always try to get us in the legendary Section 14, because it was behind the visitors bench, and he would heckle the hell out of them.

The Frozen Four isn't too bad.  But in general, I agree with you.  Hey!  Come up here sometime, we'll go catch a Moosehead's game.  It really is some of the best hockey ever.  The Mooseheads have put a few big-name players on the map.  For instance, you may recognize this guy: Jean-Sebastien Giguere.  Or Alex Tanguay.

When I get a passport....I also would like to go back to visit the Hall of Fame. I went to Nova Scotia a long time ago to see the Voyagers play the New Haven Nighthawks. Tanguay and Giguere are pretty good alumni to have for the Mooseheads. See, going to Canada used to be as simple as going to Maine or New Hampshire. The fucking terrorists had to fuck things up. Can I still take the ferry to Yarmouth?

Yep, you sure can.  The Cat is pretty sweet too.  I don't like the passport thing, either, NT.  I think it's bullshit.  Canada and the USA have been the best of friends for a long time, and these requirements just suck.  We should be getting closer together, not further apart.

So, yahoo says these may be the worst uni's in history... dunno if I agree with that, but here goes:

It's weird I did'nt see the URL until I went to quote what you said Wasted. On another note, the Mighty Vancouver Canucks  have struggled mightily since the arrival of the most selfish man in hockey Mats Sundin. They are 0-6 and 3. Why the hell would anybody expected him to play effectively after not playing a meaningful game since last April. Way to go Mats, I am so fucking glad the Rangers did'nt sign him
