Official Hockey discussion thread

What about the new composite sticks? I liked the aluminum ones so much better. I had mine for over 200 games ( that's high school college and beer leagues). I bought a carbon/graphite Koho and it broke my second game in. $90 down the fucking drain. I went back to playing with an old fashioned twig. It's a Montreal, has heft to it and if I get into a stick battle with the newer ones , mine is still in one piece. I would kill to get another Aluminm Louisville. I think I still have 2 or three spare blades.
 
I hope they NEVER use Jerseys as ad space, that's fucking sacrilige. Mexican Soccer teams do that and you'd swear games are Budweiser vs. Alltel instead of the actual teams... fucking sad. As for sticks, most players swear by old-fashion wood.
 
I 've heard the rumor about ad space for two years now and on Gary "the human dildo" Bettman's Thursday afternoon show on XM he discussed the possibility. Giving his track record about possibilities and fucking up the game , I beleive it will happen by next year.
 
the day that happens will be the day I stop paying attention to hockey in any way shape or form including burning all 10 of my jerseys and throwing away my goalie equipment and telling my future children that hockey is a myth made up to scare football players...

I played a Fantasy NFL league, where we did a live draft with a chat room, it was pretty fun (was a ESPN.com league)

Just wondering, I'm in the mood to play!
 
I still wanted to do one, yes.  The question is, of course, do we want to do one with trades, without, etc.
 
Ah, yes, I hear you.  I think trades and free agents would be all fine.  If you don't mind, i'll do a little reading and give you my input.

Here is a link to the espn league page.  Looks pretty easy... first two are free, and the first one is fairly customizable.  17 starters, and 5 bench; up to 20 teams. 
 
Well, I just set up one to mess around with on ESPN, and it's basically the same as the Yahoo one.  So who's gonna play? :D
 
I did so a couple of days back, it bitch slapped me when I tried to draft people saying it hasn't started yet.. gees touchy touchy
 
The game program selects the players for each team.  You have the option of changing the order of your preference of players drafted.
