Marty McSorely was NOT a dirty player, I'm sorry. The high stick to Brasheer was an anomaly, unlike Chris Simon or Darian Hatcher who regularly abuse/d other players McSorely was a very productive and effective defenseman.
 
My point exactly. It was an isolated incident. Same as Todd Bertuzzi. Both were upset about being beaten in a scrap and wanted some kind of revenge.
 
I have mixed feelings about Bertuzzi... that guy does have a temper.
on a happier note, Sakic signed a one year deal with the Avalanche
 
I do'nt think Bertuzzi intentionally wanted to break Steve Moore's neck. but that was one hell of a sucker punch he gave him. I am also happy to see Super Joe is coming back for one more season. Hopefully Forsberg's foot will let him play this season too.
 
JOE'S BACK!!!!!!  YES!  I am super psyched!  He's the best player in hockey from a class and veterans point of view.
 
I think John Davidson is trying to convince Shanny to finish his career as a St. Louis Blue. And does anyone know who this 22 year old RFA on Ottowa is. He is holding out for 4 mil a season. If he does'nt get it he will goto the new Russian Super League. Anybody know his name?
 
Sorry, nope.  However, I would be a happy camper to see Shanny in ST L!!!!  I cut my teeth watching him and Hull and CuJo playing...Ah, the days of sweeping the Blackhawks!
 
If you want to look at salary/contract situations, go to www.hockeybuzz.com and check out the Cap Numbers.  And Mats will make up his mind rather soon, I think.  I just hope he doesn't go back to Toronto.  They don't deserve Mats Sundin.
 
I for one am glad how quickly Joe made his decision. What Niedermayer and Salanne pulled last season was attrocious. Just because they have the years, skill and respect they do doesn't mean they should abuse it and not only keep their "current" team, but all teams hanging with a "Oh, I don't know if I want to keep playing..." If that's the case take the whole fucking season off instead of letting your team wallow for months while you make up your fucking mind. I believe the ducks would have faired better had they both played from the start.

In other words, I hope Sundin makes up his mind soon and Salanne doesn't pull the same shit twice.

Center Ice on XM fucking Rules!!!! Salanne is doing what Roger Clemens started doing earlier in the  decade. Wait and see who is desperate enough to shell out big bucks and outlandish conditions for their services.
 
Teemu isn't like Clements.  He wants to decide if he wants to stay active long enough for a shot at the Gold in 2010.  That's all.  If he comes back he'll be a Duck.
 
I feel that Scott hates playing for Brian Burke.  That's why he almost retired last year - he can't stand the team.  I think he loved playing with his brother but now he is really regretting the length of the contract he signed.  However, this is his last year and I can't see him re-upping with the Ducks.  I expect he'll either return to New Jersey, go to Vancouver, or do as all great players do once they're 35 and play for Detroit.
 
Ok..we all have had a full year to get used to the new Reebok Edge Jerseys. Do we love them or hate them? Me I still hate them.
 
The only reason I'd care about the new jerseys is if I wanted to buy one.  They're way more expensive than the old ones.  I don't mind looking at them, though.
 
My wife or her Mom buy my jerseys for me.That's pretty funny considering they're Bruin fans. The one I received for my birthday is my newest one and my first Reebok jersey. I think it is ok but I like my CCM jerseys much better. I might wear it when I play this season and see if there really is a difference. I think it might be a tight fit wearing the gear under it. I heard on XM radio about the possibility of NHL teams selling adspace on their uniforms.
 
Oh, I like the CCM ones much better.  But I like the Reebok ones too, the players seem to generally like them.  And if they make it easier on the players, then I overall approve.
